Had a customer D40 2.5 fuel pump fail really badly, and lock the engine, so I couldn't time it up properly before disassembly. When I finally got it all stripped I found the pump shaft keyway broken, and the drive flange keyway destroyed! I just watched a couple of your videos - thank you so much, you're an absolute star! Is there just the *one* alignment hole option for the balance shaft? i.e. if you get the tool back in the hole (you know whats happened!!!) is it going the be the correct hole? Thanks guys - you rock.

I was reading in my workshop manual for the balance shaft gear, and it says that if the internal mechanism disengages it will prohibit the balancer from being reusable. Have you heard anything about this?

Hi I have this same issue with a navara I'm working on would like to get the engine out so I can do this but I'm having an issue with locating the torque converter bolts it's an automatic navara do I have to drop the transmission to take the engine out ?

Hello, does the vacuum pump gear change when changing the chain? If the single row circuit is kept as it is originally. For Nissan pathfinder R51 2007year

i have had the balance shaft gear come off and it broke the sump. can the gear put back on no keyway on it so is it only press fit. any advise welcomed cheers guys

Hi mate. i not long got a interstar 2.5cdi. 2005 van. the guy i got van off as had engine rebuilt think he put it back together himself. thing i need to ask is i took it for mot last week and the guy at garage said he thinks the balance shaft timming might be out or the belt timming as i throught it was bottom crank pully. reason i got a bit of a shack on tick over or when i rev the van. any help would be great. itsva shame you are far away or i would have popped to you.

Los tiene , pero en la parte trasera tienes que sacar el motor y la caja balanceadora para ponerlos pero uno quiere hacerlo sin sacar el motor .. esta bastante claro que es lo ideal para no correr ningun riesgo

Snapped a valve. So rebuilding the engine an it’s only got a simplex chain an thinking of goin duplex chain an been watching your videos an none really state how to reset the fuel pump timing after u remove the sprocket or the pump

The fuel pump is still mounted to the block have only removed the spocket to take chain off
