hahaha...I just spent 3 hrs trying to figure this out by myself on my 309, lost the coil spring at least 3 times and spent about 10-15 min each time trying to find it on my floor, the dog fell out at least 15 x's, and after finally thinking I had it come to find out I still didn't have any anti-reverse, so had to disassemble again, finally went to your channel and found the 209/210 video because I knew they were similar and that got me here....Thanks for making this video.

I didn't see this video before the more in-depth one, but as my reel is now fixed; as a cave-man it probably wouldn' t have made much difference. You are a reel wizard. Semper Fi!

Once again, thanks. Very helpful. Got 113H and older 114H so this came in handy for both types. 114H even had the original bent spring, but swapped it out for the straight version as Penn suggested.

Hi Dennis, a tip for small parts. I've found a pair of tweezers with a 70 degree bend make picking up and installing itty bitty pieces much easier.

I bought a used 209m. With your help I have put the dog back in and the coil spring. My only problem is that when I reel idont hear the audible click only when I engage the bait clicker do I hear a click. I may purchase a new dog for it due to it looking a bit worn but the anti reverse still engages.

Some of them are more quiet than others. It does not mean that the anti-reverse dog is worn to not working. You can try to replace it, but you may be surprised that it is still quiet after the new parts are added. if you do go ahead and get the dog, make sure you put a new spring in as well Dennis

I think you are referring to the flat spring on the older Penn Reels. These can be reset by flattening out the original or replacing them. Replacement springs are still available through Mysticparts.com (formerly Pennparts.com). The flat spring lies on top of the anti-reverse dog, wraps under the post and seats on the side plate indentation. If this is not what you are asking, please restate your question. HI, I have a penn 4500 spinfisher liveliner, and the anti reverse is slipping under pressure, like when I am jigging. Where is the anti reverse located on this reel? Is it in the body, or up near the spool? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The anti-reverse clutch is located on top of the reel . it is under the rotor and sits on the pinion gear. If it is slipping, it is most likely dirty and could possibly be cleaned. If that doesn't work, if would need to be replaced.

Could you please show me how to settle Penn Levelline 350. It is different from other reels. Thanks

Riyad - You are asking on an emotional favorite of mine. My first new fishing reel was the Penn 350....so this 50 year old reel has stood the test of time. I will do one for you, I just need to find one. This reel has the same internal set up as the Penn 155 Beachmaster. You can use a repair video on the 155 to service you 350. The only difference is how to install the torsion bar level wind post. Thanks for asking - Dennis

How do you fix a Penn persuite 11 anti reverse

Penn Pursuit spinning reel? That anti-reverse is an anti reverse bearing under the rotor. If it is not holding, you need to remover the rotor and the collar that holds the pinion shaft and anti-reverse bearing in place. Remover both. Clean each part with a penetrating oil, like wd40, dry and reassemble. IF that does not work, then the bearing will need to be replaced. If that is not your question, please clarify. Thanks alot a friend bought it from America for me and I was trying to service it I did it wrong and the crosswine block broke .it is s Penn spinning reel 750ss..can't find it in Guyana..

I still cant see exactly where the copper tab was placed

@@2ndChanceTackle THe other video it still is almost invisible. I wish there was a better pic of that anti reverse tab. sorry to be a pain about it. I took it apart about a year ago and then got busy and forgot how it went, lol.
