Learn how to protect your family and secure your sliding door. Having a lock on your door is great, but for a little extra insurance you can put a bar or wood like in our case. A lot of burglary happens due to ease of access, so if we can make it just that much more difficult, they might move on.
Skills: Measuring, Cutting (if applicable)
Difficulty: 1/10 Might be tough to measure. If you need to cut it yourself the difficulty would be more like 3/10 depending on skill level. However the home improvement store can cut the piece for you.
Materials: Measuring Tape, 2x4 2x2 or a 1inch plus dowel, your two hands, a saw if applicable.
This wood was purchased for less then a dollar. Maybe you might have something around the house for cheaper!
