Wow that was awesome
I am SO happy to see someone explain how a ballerina nail should look like! It is strong and it does not break because of super flat tips with no c-curve at all. I wish that a lot more KZread videos shows the whole nail from all angles. So when a normal client want nails done by a nailtech they have seen nails from more than a top view. There are so many people out there that think that this is a "thick" nail! But infact it is really thin! It just has a good apex and a good c-curve😉👍 Thank you for your great education😘💕💕

Well if they want it thinner they shouldn't use their hands cause their nails will be flying all over the place. Thats what im saying when they ask thinner😂
Thank you!! I got my license THIS MORNING YAAAAY and I just wanted to say thanks because your videos have really made all the difference in my education. If you ever were to do a class at the nail show in Gatlinburg TN I would love that so much! You're the best Liz!
Ah wish I could file off my little belly 😅 Excellent tutorial, best one I’ve seen for sculpting this nail. Thank you!! ✌️
i would LOVE so much if in your next videos you could go into details on using an efile to shape extensions, do refills, remove full sets; etc.!!! 😭💖💖
Mrs. Liz has saved us new nail techs thousands of dollars. That is if you are self motivated!
Truly, you are the best tutor I've seen this far. It's really important to know the WHY's, and you cover that even before I have the time to form a question in my head. I wish I had you as my masterclass tutor, you taught me more in one hour than mine has in 6 months.
I just wanted to say thankyou for explaining in such great detail and so simple to understand its helped me out tons ;)
You really shaped that beautifully
i just wanted to say thank you SO MUCH for making all these videos! I have learned more from you than I have from my $3k diploma.
I couldn't resist watching your video and not leave a feedback, these tutorials are priceless, it's like having one to one type of classes. I can't thank you enough, but I do watch ads to the end, hope that helps. Thanks a lot 💕❤
1:05. That was a really good tip. Thank you
I’ve been doing nails for about a month I have my license in cosmo and I know so much because I’ve been watching nail tutorials and what not since I was 13 years old but I always keep learning. And everyone told me to do acrylic because it’s stronger and blah blah blah but no I keep telling people it’s not that gel or acrylic is stronger it’s the structure that I give it. Anyways I did acrylic but I’m definitely going to move out of acrylic and stick to gel. It’s so much easier to work with even though it was my first time I loved it and it came out so good. I LOVE YOUR CHANEL IM A BIG FAN!! I hope to become an educator one day like you are. I love educating people

Aliciainwonderland96 as someone who is rough on her nails, I prefer gel and polygel to acrylic. I find it doesn’t break as easily, and it doesn’t seem to be effected by auto fluids and chemicals(we build off road toys in our spare time).
Can't express how helpful I find your videos and instructions!! No matter what product you are using, you give the most informative tutorials!! Thank you so much!!
Wow love your tutorial and what a lovely shaped nail your fab:-)
I am so grateful for this series. It helps tremendously. Thank you! 😘 Almond is my favorite shape so I am very excited for the next video.

Hi, tysm for making this vid. I just started out w nails and I’m practising hand filing now,and am on the constant lookout for helpful KZread vids and urs helped me a lot I’m so glad I found it. Pls keep going like this your an amzing person tysm for teaching all this 😊😊😊✨🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Liz this is a great tutorial. I’m actually going to practice this because I tend to file way too high on the side walls and it kills the c-curve, I get notches and the extension tends to break. Thank you!
I love pink builders…

Wow...you make it look so easy..hopefully your advice sticks and I can finally improve my application
New sub . FREAKING INCREDIBLE. I’m a new diy’Er after not being satisfied at the salon wjth how I personally saw nails being done on KZread vs what they’d do at the salon . I love how specific and well you explain
Thank you Liz. I can't wait for the next one. 💝
Brilliant! Such a beautiful nail! 😍❤️

Thank you! Coffin is so much harder for me than the rest of them. This was a super helpful video I appreciate you taking the time :)
You really are a great teacher thank you!!💕
I use acrylic, have for 8 years but I'm going to try gel because i think it will be easier to work with. Thank you for being so precise about everything and making sure we know all we need to know. :)
Love Your glass nails😍😍😍
Thank you this is such a great video!!! So helpful. Your video randomly showed up in my recommended videos. I just started doing my own nails. Just gained a new subbie. One of the best How To's on hard gel I've seen.
Very helpful thank u so so much!!!
Thanks, this video helped a lot, my nail extensions are looking better than the salon I went too😍🥰😇
You make it look so easy!!!
Thank you for this video as always very helpful
Another amazing video! Your tips have helped so much, especially not filing the tip until you’ve completely finish filed the other parts of the nail. Thank you, Liz. 💞
Amazing video! So helpful!
GORGEOUS!!!!!
Awesome video!! Thank you.
Ohhh! i love just giltter !😍
Thank you for these videos!! I've been trying to find good gel application videos that include a variety of nail shapes. I also appreciate the hand filing tips
Yesss best video I've seen yet and hit helped me so much thank you 🥰
Super helpful thank you!!
Great video thank you for taking the time to show us how to do this
I'm at about to do a new set on myself and will be trying coffin for the first time. I feel pretty confident about the outcome thanks to all the info in your videos. Thank you!
Awesome it is. Thanks for yet another great video 😊
Thank you so much ❤💅🥰👍
Love it....thank you 🌸
Beautiful shaped nail
You are amazing ❣️❤️❤️❤️😘
Yes ty sidewalls are my trouble area. I was def making a notch. I also gta try pinching, since it seems to help w the sidewalls... and making the nails straight out. Using dual forms got me used to a downward curving nail. I am a home diy’er ... rarely walked out of a salon completely happy. Even when spending 120 on perm French gel set.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Liz. Great video!

Awesome! I was wondering if you can pinch a builder gel! Thank you so so much! I love the c-curve 💕💕
Can you use a bright yellow by (Esmio?) next time! Maybe do a gel polish ombre for summer! Thanks for everything!
I am more than thankful for your videos . I don't think anyone else explains these things this way and i've just realised from only 2 videos what i'm actually doing wrong and why it takes me so long to build a long set like this one. Also i'm very curious how long does it take you to build a set like this. One nail took 20 mins, but because of all the explanation, but let's say you're just concentrating and going for it.
I Love you, girl❤️
Great video, Liz! :)
Nice thanks

So awesome video Liz.. how did u do those stars on thumb? Love ur #jelly nails..m big fan of jelly nails😍
Liz, are you going to record new podcasts? I'm almost through and want more 🙂 Thank you!
I'm in love with the way you do your nails especially the long coffin I believe it's my first layer I need to freeze it when I put it around my nail tip and starting to extend it out I believe that's where my trouble is starting from because as long as I sit there and play with it it gets a dip in it and by that time when I put my second stick lay on it then I add my Apex it all should be even I'm going to try as soon as I take these last ones that I put on my fingernails off I just need to learn how to get that dip out of the edge of your nail when you start out and I believe in this video that helped me alot but I probably have to freeze mine for a few minutes thank you darling and I will try to have somebody to help me figure this phone out how to email you a picture thank you with all my heart and greatly appreciate it you are amazing and a sweetheart🥰🔨💅💣📽💯💯💯
Ahh wish you did acrylic!!!! I’m trained for both but chose acrylic. You make gel look appealing to do!!

Hello Elizabeth…….😊
hey Liz do you have a video explains how to fix the notch if we do get one ?
hey, great videos, i feel like i really learn a lot watching your tutorials. So im not a nail tech, i learned all from youtube, i decided to do my nails myself after my nail lady, that i've been going to for 10 months canceled my appointment 2 day before my vacation trip to spain. I have a question, I watched a lot of channels on youtube and what i've heard about burning/heat is that if you put a lot of gel on your nails, you are gonna get burned in the lamp, so that is why you should brush small amounts of gel into your nail and cure in between while building the nail, to avoid that instead of using technique that you showed in one of your videos. I use a gel that doesnt burn in the lamp, and tried to build the nail like you showed in your video (build extension first, then nail) and used first a thick gel to build an extencion, and than used my anti-burn thin gel to build a nail, and while using the tick gel just to build extansion ( so not using alot of gel ) i felt the heat and it kinda burned a little. So my question is, whats causing the burning and how to prevent it? Ps. Your way of building the nail is definetly easier and faster :)
Looks so pretty! I made short stiletto nails for myself lat week (yey) than after a witchy week I filed them down to an oval-ish shape. But I don't think I have enough curve in them (need to learn the art of nail forms :D) and I think I made them too thick, though I put some mylar in them because why not :D Hope you can do a video on how thick a nail should be (later) when the nail is short. Can't wait for almond so I can fix my mistakes :D THANK YOU! ♥

Yes check out the Akzentz Options Glass colors or the Kokoist beach glass colors. They are both amazing.
so after you file the builder you don't have to use a base coat before applying the color gel? I've only done gel on my natural nails and always use a base
I wish all nail tech would fill the sides of the edge the natural nails. Nothing drives me up the wall to see my natural nail on the sides
Do you build the nail the same using acrylic?
Do you do acrylic?
Liz, coffin is the same as baillerina? Another question: is it possible to sculpt a short coffin? The reason i'm asking this is because sometimes clients ask for a ballerina shape but wish it short...in that case, the nail becomes less narrow, wider. We can still consider it to be a ballerina or coffin shape? (As I ask back then I don't know ih they are the same). Tks!
i have a question about led lights Are the cheap ones on Amazon as good as the professional ones for 100s of $$? I have a cheap lamp for doing gel nails at home but I feel like it doesnt cure the gel as well as when i go to the salon. Do i just need to leave it in the lamp longer ? The gel just seems softer and easier to peel with the cheap lamp Help!
Is this achievable with kokoist gels??
Thank you so much for this channel I have learned so much and you are a great teacher. When you use builder gel is it always hard gel. I'm very confused when to use soft gel. And most of the brands I see are hard gel. Can you do extensions with soft gel. I would like to use soft gel to do natural nails can you show some brands of different kinds of gels.
@TheNailHub
5 жыл бұрын
The correct term for soft gel is soak off gel. Hard gel cannot be soaked off with acetone. But there are builder gels available in both soak off and hard gel formulas. Same idea just the removal options vary. In my last video I used a soak off builder. Looks and feels like a hard gel but if you wanted to you could soak it off.

Thank you for the response to my question. And yes soak off gel. I have been binge watching your channel this week. ❤❤
I love your videos. I was wondering what the shape on your other nails is called and if you'll be doing a video on that shape? I prefer my nails to be more rounded.

Oval or rounded 😁
if possible can you do these nail shape videos in "salon" length please??? thanks!!!!
Can u do almond next?
Hey liz!💖 i know im off topic but whats the difference between rubber gel base and regular gel base? Thanks for the video btw☺
@TheNailHub
5 жыл бұрын
Rubber base is a new marketing term/ trend that's being used to advertise high adhesion base coat/builder gel in a bottle. There are lots of these types of gels out there but "rubber" is the new term being used. It's more of a marketing tactic than an innovation.
Hi Liz, I was wondering if you could offer some advice. I’m a bit scared of file off hard gels. Do LE have a soak off base coat?

Hello Samantha…….😊
Liz, how would you form and file a much shorter coffin nail, or would that be more like the tapered square you did?
@TheNailHub
4 жыл бұрын
The shorter the nail the more you lose the specific shape. It's really hard to do stiletto or coffin on super short nails as it ends up looking different. Short coffins usually look like tapered squares and you also don't want to overfile the sides to try and force it as that will be prone to breaking. Usually I tell clients if they want an "extreme" shape they have to be willing to go long.

@@TheNailHub thank you, Liz!
Use clear as base then pink
If you file to refine the nail after you have finished applying the final top coat, doesn’t it break the seal that’s been created and making the nail more likely to peel?
@TheNailHub
5 жыл бұрын
Nope. There's no natural nail on the edge because it's a gel extension.
Do you have any videos with gel that doesn't self level?
@fredjohn6350

Hello Gegring…….😊
Would it be possible for you to do a video on the different toxicities of the different materials that we all use? I’ve learned recently that nail polish is quite toxic and I’m aware that builder gel and poly Gelineau of the other things that are used cuticle remover etc. are all highly highly toxic. So what I wanna know is exactly how toxic and what kind of side effects would it cause long term and short term and what can we do to stay safe. That would be amazing because I haven’t seen a nail channel that actually discusses any of this because I’m guessing they don’t want to scare people away from using these products.
I’ve recently purchased hard gel from the nail hub website and had a question. I purchased the 7G Akzentz adhere, enhance, and balance. I seen in your “how to sculpt a hard gel nail” you used all three of these products and I didn’t see you use dehydrator on the nail before applying, does the adhere already have it built in?? Or should I still use a dehydrator ?
@TheNailHub

Adhere has the bonder built in and using a rubbing alcohol/acetone cleanser is all that's needed. No other agents needed.

Does gel nails last as much as acrylic ones?
@TheNailHub
4 жыл бұрын
Yes. They are essentially the same thing but in different forms and gels offer more customization in flexibility and finished results.
Is this a polygel? Or is that different?
@gracerose6278

No. Its different.
