I removed my 2013 Tacoma Nerf Bars, cleaned them and bought a gallon can of Harbor freight truck bead coating. I used a small heavy nap roller to put the coating on and after a week of cure time, I coated with Ceracote....1 year later, they still look new.

Running boards look real good. What are the specs of the wheels and tires, and do you have any rubbing? They look really good.

What tool are you using to remove the plastic?

Thanks for the video!! Quick question: Why wouldn't liner from a can work? I know NOTHING about painting, so I thought I'd ask. Take care!

The diy truck bed coatings in a can are a completely different material than what you get from a Line-X or Rhino coating. Think of Line-x and Rhino as almost like a liquid rubberized or plastic like coating and think of the rattle can products as like a textured paint. The rattle can materials flake and chip easily and have a lot of trouble bonding and sticking to the substrate to which they are applied. The commercial coatings are virtually bullet proof. Hope that helps. Thanks for supporting the channel!
