HOW TO REPOT AMARYLLIS BULBS AT HOME EASILY. How to transplant Amaryllis bulb not damaging the roots
In this video I show you how to repot amaryllis bulbs at home easily without damaging the roots. I also show how a healthy amaryllis bulb and the roots shall look like.
So, if you buy amaryllis bulbs, it is a very good idea to repot them, as usually they are growing in turf in nurseries, which is not the right type of soil for amaryllis bulbs. If they have buds, you can repot the amaryllis bulbs immediately. However, if they have flowers already, I would suggest waiting till the amaryllises are done blooming. Transplanting amaryllis bulbs when they are in full bloom may shorten the flowering period.
Please note that when I was taping this video, I did not have the right size pot. So, please make sure to choose a much bigger pot with a good drainage. In a bigger pot your amaryllis bulbs will grow very strong roots, huge and healthy leaves and will grow much better to have the gorgeous flowers they always have.

Does the pot have drainage holes in the bottom?
Plz tell me why my bulb convert in small earlier my bulb was fat
Are you using just regular all purpose pot in soil

Hey Trina, thanks for your comment. In this case, I used universal soil. However, there are soil mixtures that are meant for plants with bulbs/tubers. It's better to use these, if you have them in your local stores. Also, I would suggest using bigger pots than the one in the video. Amaryllises have very strong and thick roots, and your bulb will grow huge leaves and bloom better, if it grows in a bigger pot. Hope this was helpful. :)
How will I know which amaryllis to buy in the store?

It's a very good question. Well, of course you can choose any variety you like. The most important thing is that you need to carefully examine the bulb itself, if you are buying a bulb. It shall be firm and not have any spots or stains of diseases.If you are buying an amaryllis already in a pot, make sure you choose the one which will look healthy to you - green buds, green strong leaves, without any black, brown, yellow dots, lines, etc. Would you be interested in a separate video on how to choose healthy bulbs?
