    What about too much sun? I live in the Desert area of California and it’s summertime. I planted my lavender and three days later, but it was dead.

    Just a lavender plant after several weeks... She look like she could be dying but repoted her; because I thought that the problem was that she had to much water; but it has been 5 days and she hasn't changed. So, I am not sure what could be the problem. Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

    I've rooted just the leaves in water and they rooted, although they have been in soil for a month now but no new growth has taken place.

    Why exactly do you have to cut the leaves? Will the leaves grow back or remain in their "cut shape"?

    How do you know exactly how many set of leaves to dip into the water? Can you propagate from a single stalk of leaves? After they grow roots, can you let them remain in the water? Or must you transfer them into a pot of soil?

    This appears to be a Tradescantia Roxxo, well I guess you did say Roxxo, but it's from what I know, not spathecea. It's easy to misidentify because there are some people showing the wrong plant and calling it Spathecea. The info I found from Costo (they say they have exclusive right to sell it in North America) says that it is new out of Europe, and has tiny white flowers if it gets bright indirect light, and grows in an upright pattern. Another website said that Tradescantia plants come from North America and Mexico .... so idk how a grower claims a patent on it in Europe. That said.... It has dark purple leaves on one side, and dark green on the other. It grows tiny white flowers if you have it in the bright indirect light, in an upright growth habit, rather than the vining type we are familiar with of other Tradescantia plants. It makes me wonder if it truly is tradescantia... mine does not seem to have any trailing habit at all, but is upright like the one you are showing. You can keep it on a counter or table near a window, but it should not get direct bright sunlight. If it's bright indirect light, they say it will grow tiny white flowers. Mine had one on it that was drying out... and the plant had been kept with all the shaded plants in Walmart's garden center for some odd reason. I saw a tiny white flower that was drying up, coming out between two of the leaves. The upright pattern and the white flower as well as the distinctive dark purple with dark green leaves is similar to other Tradescantia , but not quite the same as Pallida or Spathacea. Too bad, because I like the name Spathacea a lot better lol

  • @EzekielsCall
    @EzekielsCall6 күн бұрын

    There is conflicting info online regarding the plant Tradescantia Spathecea... Everyone that shows them has lighter leaves, and some have white stripes while others do not. I have one that looks just like yours. Yours and mine are much darker and have no white stripe. The flowers don't appear the same as the one by the name you are giving either. Mine had a tiny star shaped flower coming out between the leaves, where the one I found online with similar flowers that has purple and green leaves is not as dark, and has flowers coming out of a bunch of tiny leaves in between the other leaves. It's so confusing. The store that sold it to me had the wrong name on it, called it a swiss cheese plant or something and it looks nothing like those

    Girl. It’s so funny that today I woke up thinking I need to put my Hoya (newbie here, not even sure if it’s name😂) on the little bamboo hoop I got for it. My question is- what substrate do you use? So many Hoya people use pon and I don’t have that. I’m primarily an aroid plant collector, so I was planning to use an orchid pot and a chunky aroid mix for my Hoya. Will that even work?

  • @AnnasViolets
    @AnnasViolets12 күн бұрын

    Hi. It seems I felt you! :) Yes, aroid mix will absolutely work. Mine are in a hoya mix from Sybasoil, but it's very similar to aroid mix. So, yes, no doubt, your hoya will be happy. 💚🪴💜

    I just got one of these in the Walmart Garden center in my area. It has dark purple and green leaves, and had a tiny star like flower in the center of the leaves. It was mislabeled on the outside of the pot for some reason (as a swiss cheese plant, which of course this is not), but had a tag that said it is a Roxxo Inch plant, which is how I found your video, looking that up to learn more about it. I love that it gets the tiny white flowers! I didn't even know that when I bought it, as I did not notice the one tiny flower that had appeared until after I got it home. Love it! The leaves on mine are not growing absolutely straight up.. probably that has more to do with how it was treated as it grew, ie the kind of light it was in etc. I imagine that the leaves bend towards the light source they are receiving. Mine, the leaves lean out to the sides a bit.
