excellent video! What is that tool you're using to screw the sparkplugs in? Yes, I have virtually ZERO car knowledge.

(3) mistakes (in my opinion): He didn't gap the new plugs, which is .044" (1.1 mm), three, I wouldn't use a power wrench taking out the old plugs (the plugs are steel and the head is aluminum). Don't want to screw up the start threads in the block, and it's a good idea to use anti-seize on the plugs & hold-down bolts, so next time, they come out easy.

Plugs are pre-gap you don't touch them. Its not a must to put antiseize... there is none from the factory. Its torque at around 15lbs lol, you can do it with one hand

What would you recommend if I do not have torque wrench
@WrenchingRyan
Жыл бұрын
I strongly recommend to torque them to spec. You can get cheap torque wrench from harbor freight.

Is it recommended to add grease to the spark plugs?
@WrenchingRyan

Not at all, but sometimes when you purchase aftermarket spark plugs they included a anti seize lubricate, you’re welcome to apply some, as long as you torque those within spec. You’ll be fine. Thanks for watching.

@carlawschanneletc double check the connection and everything is properly secured. I drove for a couple of miles today and the check engine light randomly went away.
