Only disconnect the battery in the wheel well if you need to directly replace the battery. There is accessible positive and Negative terminals for at the top of the left drive side strut tower to do this job for a 2.4L and 3.6L. I've worked on these quite a bit.

Terrible location for a battery. Very inconvenient.
This is a common question that people have when they are trying to change the spark plugs in their vehicle. The answer is that you do not need to disconnect the battery in order to change the spark plugs. You can simply remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug and then unscrew the spark plug from the engine.

Well over $350 at a shop...bad coil pack, 4 plugs, air cleaner and fuel system cleaner. Got it all from O'reilly's for less than $100.

Does anyone know what the spark plug gap spec is?
My spark plugs won't come out... No matter the size socket I put in there I can't seem to grip the old spark plugs... Help please
I swear to god im really beginning to hate this car. Ridiculous. Cant stand where the battery is. I just paid to have battery changed cuz i didnt wanna deal with let aline have the tools. Now this for some damn spark plugs.

There’s a negative terminal on the driver side shock tower. It’s bolted to the front. All you need to do is remove a nut and slide the ground cable off. It’s a lot simpler than accessing the battery

Dude it takes like 5 minutes to get the battery out...this way gives a ton of extra space in the engine bay.

I had a neighbor pay me $100 just to change his headlight on a Cadillac because he didn’t want to take the bumper off lol I made $100 in 20 mins 🤣
