Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today we Replace Fuel Pressure Regulator 2000 to mid-year 2003 5.3 LS Avalanche Suburban Silverado Yukon
The Regulator is located on the driver side by the fuel rail.
They were later put inside the fuel tank from mid-year 2003 (I believe)

⚡⚡PLEASE NOTE⚡⚡
This is the fuel press spec from a gm service manual. Key on, engine off. fuel press with pump running and air bleed out of fuel press gauge (remember eng. off!!) is 55-62 psi for eng code "t" for eng code "z" its 48-54 psi. Look at the 8th digit of your vin for the eng code.
Fuel pressure for 02's according to VIN:
(55-62 psi) VIN: (V, T,U)
(48-54 psi) VIN: Z
Check the pressure as soon as you turn the key to run. It may drop a little as soon as the pump shuts off. With return-style fuel systems the pressure will be 8-10 psi lower when it is running depending on your engine vacuum. If you pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator while idling you should see the pressure rise by this amount to the specified value. You may have a problem if your VIN T pressure is less than 45 psi at idle or 55 psi when not running or with the vac line off the FPR. I would check the regulator first if this is the case. Make sure there is no fuel leaking out the vac line connection.

Since they started putting computers in cars, its been an issue adding wires for accessories to vehicles... Without going into all the issues the main one is, if something goes wrong with the accessory it will sometimes effect other electronics in your vehicle... There's many more issues depending on the vehicle... especially the very expensive computer (ECU). My Son is having some issues with his 1992 Z28 Camaro we are restoring. We recently got the engine running after it being parked in his garage Since 2011 and now tracing all the added wiring done from the previous owner.... The main wiring issues are the Aftermarket radio system and the alarm system.... Still sorting it all out.... So, my suggestion to you is use the accessory plug (cigarette Lighter) to feed your dashcam or USB plug if your car has one to feed power to your dash cam of course first call the manufacturer for their opinion... This is just my opinion, you may want to get a technician to give you some advice since they do this everyday... I don't mean to discourage you but I've heard so many DIYers having issues after they do these kind of connections without doing research on their particular vehicle's electrical system... Let me know what you end up doing and how it works out. Good luck!
