HOW TO REPLACE FUEL FILTER ON HYUNDAI ELANTRA
► Our Website: mechaniclifestyle.com
In this video, we will demonstrate how to remove and replace the fuel filter on Hyundai Elantra fifth generation. We demonstrated on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS fuel filter replacement. It is hard to find just the filter sometimes so in some case you might have to buy the whole fuel pump assembly. Some models and years might differ. ►More Hyundai Elantra Repair Videos: goo.gl/6HZZwS

  • @piotrfolczyk8589

    @piotrfolczyk8589

    Walczyk check owner’s manual for recommendation, that is always good place to start. Most new Japanese cars do not seem to have an issue with fuel filter. They act like it does not exist? Korean may not be so easy. Clogged filter would mean fuel starvation, I would expect engine not willing to run eagerly. Hard to start or no start at all in extreme condition. Lot depends on quality of fuel used. Was the car filled in reputable stations one may never come across the problem.

    @@Thefilmyfamily786 well I haven’t had any issues stalling since, other than the positive batter terminal connection needing adjustment… Mostly everything is better now. Just strange!

    @@Thefilmyfamily786 Well in the end I think you’re correct! So I just started having issues again. And the last time I had them was last summer! So it gets hot out here in Arizona and the sensor starts failing. Long cranks. Non working tach gauge… Shut it off and restart and tach gauge and everything is back. Did more research and also the last 2 long starts and issues I had were in the day when I hadn’t parked in covered parking. Thanks for your help man!

Now the car wont start until i can find a way to splice in new wires, wish i could find a video on how to replace the main electrical wire that leads into the fuel pump, maybe these guys could make a how to video for me lol

    I have the same car but a 2013. It has 70000 miles on it. I am getting code p2096. I checked vacume lines and I don't see any leaks. I also replaced upstream 02 sensor and pvc valve. The check engine light was out for 2 weeks and the code came back. Any ideas of what it could be? It has a rough idle.

    I replaced my upstream o2 also. No help. There is a TSB for code p2096. I had it on my '11GLS for a long time. Took it in and they ran an update for the ECU and the code has not been back since. Now at 210,000 miles. Look here: www.hyundai-forums.com/md-2011-2016-elantra-sedan-coupe/583881-2013-hyundai-elantra-p2096-code.html

    Nice video, but maybe next time just pull the fuse for the fuel pump and then run the engine until it dies. That should remove all pressure from the fuel lines.

    Yeah I'm assuming that would be best because the filter is $33 at its cheapest and the entire assembly is $70 but if you're going to do all that work to get to it, you might as well change out the entire fuel pump, with a new assembly, which includes the filter.
