Thank you so much for this video! I love the way you explain the steps as you go and also throw in some useful tips. I'm trying to save a little money by replacing my rotors myself (I figured it wouldn't be as easy as taking off the old and slapping on the new) but with the step by step instructions in your video I'm now confident enough to tackle the task in my boyfriends absence. You rock man! Thanks again! (:

Hello, I followed every step in your video to the "T". However, after the job was complete. I went to build up the brake pressure with the car off and achieved pressure, but as soon as I turned the car on to test drive it, the brake pedal went to the floor...any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

+Bleew86 Since there could be multiple reasons why you’re experiencing this difficulty with your vehicle, I strongly recommend that you have a reputable mechanic inspect it. They’ll be able to troubleshoot the problem and tell you what part or parts you’ll need for the repair. Since we do not have access to the vehicle we would not be able to diagnose this with any accuracy

if I'm not changing the rotor, do I still have to remove the caliper bracket? Because last time I did this job, I never removed it

+Rob M. If you are just changing the brake pads you should be able to just remove the caliper and change the pads. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com

A 2 door 2005 Hyundai Accent has no top hex head bolts on the front calipers, it's a round pin.

Thank you for the video, but @ 9:50 you make a huge mistake. The break fluid in the caliper is degraded and possibly contaminated and you do NOT want to push all that fluid back into the system. You gotta open the bleeder valve, and push it out of the system. Then top up the reservoir and bleed.

If you go to an auto ports store you can also buy a disk brake spreader, cost like 12 bucks and you use it like you would a c clamp, one size fits most

  • @southpark159753

You can also "rent" that part at most auto part stores if needed. The caliper spreader.
