Nice benz. I tried to comment on your undercoating video but its disabled. Was going to say I thought that there would be balancing issues with the driveshaft undercoating but it looked so thin that I guess it would not affect it. Cool video tho. Also, tap/hold down on screen once underneath if you want the white balance to lock.

w204 c200 cgi yb2011 / did it just like that , no problem at all ! /no further setups necessary even the time set up itself after ten minutes ride./ All settings just like before ! As mentioned bellow, are you not supposed to connect it to another battery while replacing it, so it doe not loose power while doing it and the computers don't reset?

Hey so I installed a new battery according to your instructions (thanks for that!) but my new battery seems to be slightly smaller than the original that I replaced so the clamp doesn’t necessarily hold it in place. Anything to worry about? Car started finely and everything seems to be functioning properly. I just bought the new battery according to Costco personnel by the way.

The Parts store will recommend The Duralast H-6 if you just say I need a battery but it's about 3 inches smaller than the original OEM... the H-7..matches the battery box.. and they're the same price but it has more CCA

Depends on the engine size. 3.0L takes H7-AGM aka 48-AGM and 3.5L takes H8-AGM aka 94R-AGM . If you had a 48 installed and it’s too small, yours must take a 94R. Take it back and have them give you the right battery. They should ask you engine size when choosing the right size battery. Some places don’t and just tell you whatever the first thing on their list is

a socket extension.

So there are no reset issues because you did not maintain continuous flow of current during the replacement.

So a power booster is not needed

I just had AAA replace my OEM H7 with their H8 last week on my 2011 C300. He did not bolt it down due to the battery’s larger size. It basically fills the battery’s box. He stated, “it’s not going anywhere”. At the time I wasn’t aware of possible problems/concerns. But I’ve been worrying. Is this a safety issue? Please state the pros and cons of having the H8 instead of the H7. P.s. I don’t drive the car much - hardly at all. Especially since the pandemic. Thank you!

I know you asked this question months ago but a battery not properly tied down can move and if the positive terminal comes in contact with the body of the car you will have fire. I have seen this happen a lot so please make sure you have the right size battery. Batteries can move when you hit a hole in the road

Secure the battery. Mercedes did, so should you. Definitely a safety issue.
