I tried putting an axe handle in a large vice with 2 X 6 boards in between the jaws and put the warped handle between the wood and closed it up for two months putting auto transmission fluid on the handle to soften it up Even after two months in the vice it would spring back to warped so i did another month flipping it over and trying again with no luck it sprang back into the warped shape, very disappointing as that was an old vintage handle so lesson learned once they are badly warped good luck getting it straight again.

Yeah I figured that would be the case. I saved the handle maybe to attempt something like that. Now I won’t. LOL

@@Man-Time I have not totally given up i am thinking next time soak it then maybe add some heat every other day but more than likely that will be a failure also, never know unless you try it
