A four pound head is nice for splitting. Those rubber mallet and dead blow hammer are pretty slick when hanging new handles. Merry Axemas Mr. Indiana Doug!

It normally takes me about thirty to forty minutes to hang an axe nicely, there was one time when it only took me ten minutes but that was because the handle I bought was a near perfect fit when I bought it.

I've had a few that were almost no work.. Thata why I now keep several handles on hand from different vendors. I'd rather get lucky than spend an evening rasping. I love a nice handle on an axe.. but I don't particularly enjoy doing it. And i'm sure as heck not paying someone else to do it 😂

I try man. I’ve been on the struggle bus lately. A few months back I was ready to give it all up. But I still feel like I have something to say/show. But honestly, I’m tired of seeing the same stuff over and over on KZread. I want to make videos that have a purpose something if value, otherwise why make one? It’s difficult to create content with value bc almost everything has already been done. I’m all ears if you having any suggestions bud.
