Ohhhhhh I believe what kind of position that it’s in! I have a 2012 NR & the door got stuck shut and the window had to come out to get to the door… it was a nightmare! But your video still helped so tyvm!

Do not follow this advice. There are 2 holes in the door module assembly. They are covered with tape. Remove those lower the window until the bolts for the window line up. Remove the bolts, raise the window. Hold or tape the window to the top. Lower the motor midway down. Now remove the door module assembly. Now tilt the front of the glass down and slowly lower it in the door till you lift it out while tilted.

I just "fixed" the passenger door power window motor on a Nissan Qashqai J10 thanks to this vid!. I say "fixed" because i took the motor apart and it seemed like one brush had shorted out to the spindle, i unstuck it and sanded it so it was more or less ok. It works now, but it does a terrible sound and will fail again soon, i'm sure. But at least it works until i get the replacement, haha.

Wow that’s good news, I am sure if you can install new brushes on the motor it will last a long time

Wtf. I'm smart enough to figure out how to get to the screw without taking the whole door off. Matter a fact that was the 1st screw I found and the only one I had to loosen to replace my door handle. Wow I'm amused watching this video. I'm pretty sure when they built the car they didn't have a special tool to remove a bolt. Lol poor guy

Zimmy- very good video. You have a very hard time reaching those screws at 11 minutes into video........i would take my cutting wheel and made a 4 inch square hole in the sheetmetal, after all it is a 14 yr old car, and not a classic or anything special....why not make things easy? Cut an access hole, just big enough so that it does not effect the strength of the whole door. I would say that whole raised area around the 2 holes.

Nice video I never seen the inside of a car door.

+Eliot Yang thanks, I never seen inside a Nissan door, but doing it thought me allot, now I can do it better and faster next time, and there will be a next time, I need to replace the intelligent door handle, I will do it after I paint the door, I want to do it right so I will repaint it like factory inside and out, but before getting there I need to pull the ride out just a little so that the rear side door closes properly, The car that I removed the door from I will also fix, but for now I will use the doors of it

There is a hole in the door just around the corner from the door handle with a bolt in it that lets you change the door handle when it’ breaks. Don’t take your door apart if you can help it, it’s almost impossible to put it back together!

+scott morlock I used my cordless drill when removing the speaker, I kinda forgot about it, till I removed many bolts from the panel, then I remembered hehe

I needed to replace my door lock actuator, and did the same thing you did with the window assembly. Now I'm not sure how to put it back together, and I thought this video would show how but it didn't. Maybe change the title, it is misleading.

+Jonah Blake I did same thing and also things mess up and it was hard to put together but I did manage, you need to put your window down then remove it, I think I mention this, because if you don’t everything will be hard to put back together, and impossible with the Door still on the car, you will need to remove the door and do it on carpet or something, because it will be much easier

I did not need to remove the door. With the inner panel (the one held to the door with 8 or 9 screws) removed from the door, I attached the window assembly to that in my driveway, and figured out how the cable needs to wrap around. It was pretty hard putting the cable in place since it fits very snugly. Once that was done it was just a matter of fitting it into the door, and then reattaching the glass. It took me a long time, but now I fully understand how the power window works on a Nissan Rogue.

My tip is watch your fingers it’s really sharp metal there, and if things go bad you might need to remove your door and set it on something soft so that you can align everything, be careful it’s easy to mess it up

This was a terrible, terrible video. You took everything apart and that’s it. How do you put it back together? Where’s the second half of the video? Now I’ve got my door in 100 , my window pulley system in numerous sections, and the glass off the tracks. Then towards the end (after following step by step with you) you put a disclaimer to not do it like you. Then you take out the glass and “that’s it?” I. Am. SCREWED 🤬

He was also doing a few other tasks. Such as changing the speaker, and something with the rear door, the front door glass is just one part of it......the new glass fits right into those two 10mm holes on the plastic brackets- you've obviously never changed a window glass before.

You did not replace anything you did a bunch of pointless task, and took the door off and back door off for no reason
