    The EGR on a diesel work opposite then on a gas engine .on a gas engine it is off at idle , and open at speed . on a diesel open wide at idle and closes as you speed up . At speed / load you need all the oxygen to burn the fuel , if the egr is somewhat open at speed you will have black smoke due to the lack of clean air .

    18/hour flat rate? What? You’re getting 1000% fisted. You’d make more as a grave digger since all you need is a shovel. Just wait until you get some training and start getting warranty shit pay jobs.

  • @jerrykurl69

    I was a Chrysler dealer tech for 13 years. It was the happiest day of my life when I quit that shit show 3 months ago. If anyone wants a dealer tech job at a CDJR dealer, if you got a pulse, you’re hired. You drive an hour to work flat rate at a Chrysler dealership? 😳 It also sounds like that chick that hired you doesn’t know her head from her ass…which is pretty much par for the course at a dealership service department.

  • @ZimaletaMotors
    @ZimaletaMotors9 күн бұрын

    That’s so true when I quit I never received my last paycheck. I still have not done nothing about it. I quit middle of November and never got my check for the last week worked since it’s not a big deal. I just kind of let her go for now I don’t want to make the dealership pay fines by, letting North Carolina Department of Labor know. I got a question for you. Did you ever get overtime pay because I was promised overtime I worked overtime never got overtime. Pay and I was hard as a flat rate for at least the next 3 months at 16 per hour guaranteed plus as much overtime as I want and also $18 per per labor hour, but they never really explained to me how this would work. They said it’s a hybrid model 16 per hour guaranteed or 18 an hour.

  • @jerrykurl69
    @jerrykurl699 күн бұрын

    @@ZimaletaMotors There is no overtime in a flat rate dealership. Even the straight time kids on the lube rack should have by law gotten OT but they never did and never will. The hybrid system you worked was just a game the service manager set up to fuck you. Did you have anything in writing? All these places are out to screw the techs. I’d bet my house that the warranty clerk lady submitted any and all jobs you did, claimed every cent she could and they didn’t pay you any diag and bare minimum to complete the job but the service department got reimbursed. Even if you had gotten any contract in writing, it’s worth toilet paper since service managers get fired daily and there goes your contract.

    Lol I work at a Penske owned truck dealer. Its not an excuse. They do a full police backround check and completely verify your backround including where you worked. its a long process. You do a 1 hour interview with the HR, GM and service manager and then have to fill out a huge application form and former employment form.

    That's why it says on the side to smack the valve. It says verbatim If unit fails to prime, the inlet ball may be stuck. Tap lightly on the valve or use a probe (see graphics, right).

    This is a horrible method to resurface your rotors. You are grinding uneven amounts from the surface this way. Will it be better than it was? Possibly, but it's definitely NOT ideal. You would've at least been better off spinning the rotor somehow and holding the grinder to it. At least then it would've been much more even than your small back and forth strokes. There's usually several millimeters worth of metal you can turn down and it will still be fine, but keep in mind that a thinner rotor will generate more heat and heat is what causes the rotor to warp. I think all rotors can be turned down at least once.
