Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
If you want to replace existing ceramic or concrete tile, you need a tool that will help you get the job done right and fast.
Check out these grout removing tools.
The RotoZip Rebel Spiral Saw is no longer available.
-ergonomic handle for a comfortable grip
-5 Amps and two speeds to give you more control as you make your cuts
-10 foot reinforced rubber cord
-3 position ON/OFF Bump off switch. Use the “1” position to power the tool at 24,000 RPM. Use the “2” position to power the tool at 30,00 RPM
-cam lock lever for removable handle in tight working areas
-storage compartment for bits
- air diverter switch; you determine where the airflow from the tool is diverted to blow away debris and keep an open line of sight on your work surface.
Grout Grabber
This tool grabs the grout and rips it out! It’s the Grout Grabber.
Wide joints? No problem! The Grout Grabber accommodates any joint size from 1/16” up to ½” simply by adding or subtracting replacement blades (each blade excavates a width of 1/16”)
Never before has grout removal been this easy, inexpensive and with as little dust.
The Grout Grabber adapter fits into most common reciprocating saws, using the sawing action to remove grout quickly from:
-floors
-walls
-countertops
-restoration work
-bathrooms
-re-grouting
-patching or repairing tile

Love the accent and the attitude. Thanks for a great video.
You're better off with a multi tool. That's too aggressive and could easily lead to you damaging tile

A multi tool would take a lot of time and would end up costing you a fortune replacing the blades everytime it went blunt which would be often. I’m talking big areas though.
Yo Vinno u talkin to me? lol
Awesome, thanks for a super useful video!

I use an angle grinder and a shop vac for grout removal up to the edges, then switch off to a multi-tool. Been doing it that way for years. Never had a problem.

Can you tell me what kind of blade you use for the angle grinder
Thanks for posting the video. Quick question. I have a half inch grout joint that sits between the tub and the tile that needs to be replaced. The silicone wore away and water got underneath and behind the grout. When I press it, it moves a bit so I figure it's time to replace it. What kind of grout removal bit/blade would I use for the larger half inch grout joint? Thanks in advance.

Id use a diamond tip grinding wheel (harbor freight has it for around $20 ) on a grinder but dont press too deep or youll cut into part of the tub you cant see (tub has a lip that goes up behind your grout line)
Thank you!
If you plan to regrout only, then it is best to go as slow as possible not to damage the tiles. If the area is small, use a hand tool. If the area is big, then you may want to use a multi-tool or if really necessary a circular grinder, but start in an area where a mistake may not be so noticeable and get the hang of it before moving into main areas. In any event, do not use a reciprocating tool.

I'm going to be removing grout in about half an hour, what exactly do you mean by "multi-tool"? -thankyou

are you referring to an oscillating tool?

@@Invisus_Letum When I say multi-tool, I am referring to what you might be referring to as an oscillating tool. When I say reciprocating, I am referring to a SawZall type tool like the one used at 1:30. That one has a very high risk of damaging the tiles.

@@KARAOKEMONTREAL i agree using a reciprocator sounds ridiculous, and an oscillator i am very familiar with, thankyou Sir for your response
I've purchased a few 1/16 grout remover blades to remove grouts in my bathroom, but turns out the grout lines are less than 1/16". Some of them are so narrow and some tiles don't sit flush against each other. I tried using the new blades I got but they damaged the tiles with scratches. Is there any grout remover that can do the job for narrow grout lines less than 1/16"? Thanks.
Always use a vacuum or water in combination with a powered grout removing tool to prevent creating a giant mess you don't want/breathing it in.

If you are using these tools in a commercial setting. Be careful not to set off a fire alarm with the dust in the air. Vacuum or water is a must to keep the dust down.
That power tool looks like you could bring your house down let alone break a tile.

I would never use a recipricating saw or a grinder to remove grout. Lol. Better off using a multitool with the grout removal attachment..
I can’t believe you have not chipped a tile. Would not recommend such powerful tools on scratchy tiles
Aye, you wanna remove grout? Just troe a file in a jackhammer and there aint gonna be no grout no more.

Yo, I ain't telling you to buy a Grout Grabber but if you don't someone might be wearing concrete galoshes.

You can't even control any of the tools...
Grout...body parts...fagettaboutit!
If you’re removing grout with a sawzall, maybe you should just step aside and let a pro handle the job 🤷🏻♂️ Not fine work at all, lots of room for error.
About as new as a hammer. I have my grandfathers (I'm 60) and it's ideal because it's stainless steel wire and much more precice. This is 47 cents worth of plastic that would've been better used to buy pencils
That is how I Demo tile
wear a mask when you dry cut tile, grout, or anything "cement" related.
