Hi all. To clarify from some questions below: (1) Parametric Equalizer is a free effect built into Premiere Pro CC for both MAC and PC (2) the AUParametricEQ is a built-in free effect for MAC Only, I didn't realize this until after posting the video (3) CrumplePop EchoRemover plugin (bit.ly/CrumplePopEchoRemover) is $99 and MAC only, but an alternative plugin for PC is called iZotope RX (bit.ly/GaliZotopeRX), it has a de-reverb effect used to remove echo, it costs $349 for standard license. I'd recommend, trying the free method, then if you don't like the results, download a trial version of the software. Then, you can decide whether you need to make the purchase for a plugin. Let me know if you have any other questions!
This was a way easier tutorial than other ones I've watched on youtube. Thank you so much!
Excellent, thank you for these tests !

You might also want to try the reverb remover from Accusonus. The demos I've heard sound better than any other reverb removal software I've worked with.
Thank you for showing the AUParametric EQ ... I couldn't find anywhere for Garageband and it's the same plugin... Much appreciated

Greetings Gal! This is awesome! Is there a way to apply this to all audio clips (like an adjustment layer), if in editing you have several breaks. My most recent projects was a 15 minute talk someone gave with a lot of "umms" that I edited out, leaving tons of breaks. There was a hum in the background and I was trying to work clip by clip. (Argh) Thanks!

also I am using PC so I should have read you last comment. I used the parametric equalizer but I have no idea how to apply what I have done. You went to the upper left and clicked a red dot which I don't see on my PC. What am I missing? Also the distortion seems to increase using this app, any ideas? Thanks

Hi, is there a way that reverb echo effects could be removed after voice removal, with stock plugins or any external plugin? Need your help desperately... I gave someone around 100 dollars to make karaoke tracks for me for the audios I would like to perform at events and he did an amazing job using cool edit pro (adobe audition older version) and had no reverbs/echos in those tracks. Please help me out with a way... it's too expensive to pay for every new track I need... please guide us through a way to get rid of those reverbs echos from recorded Bollywood/ Hollywood tracks...
Another great tutorial. I actually found the free version sounded better but I watched on my iPhone so not the best audio source.

totally depends on the audio too, in this case, it wasn't possible to remove all the echo. so if you're okay with a little bit of echo, then the free method works well.
You have great videos and I am learning more than I have ever imagined. Thanks!! I am new to Premier Pro having recently subscribed to several of Adobes programs. Before I took the plunge to pay yearly I used Photoshop, In Design, Dreamweaver etc. To the point, I am using Final cut pro and trying to switch over to Premier Pro. It seems a bit more time consuming to do the same thing but regardless I am sticking with it. But... yep there's a but! I get the spinning beach ball all the time. Any videos that you can direct me to or a quick answer? Any help would be gratefully received!

Thank you for your tutorial, nice, I have not managed to open the two links, it does not work, I do not know if there is a plug-in adobe first pro cc of 2019 which replaces the crumplePop EchoRemover, with adobe rental plus this plug is fast dear, thank you.

Audio echo is one of the hardest things I had to deal with while editing. Thanks. Have 2 questions though, how would you deal with many clips? Can you save the setting and apply it to other clips? How about using a laravel mic? Does that do the trick to avoid echo?
@PremiereGal
6 жыл бұрын
Hi David - Do you mean a lav mic? I used a lav mic in this video and a shotgun as a backup, I went with the lav as it had less echo. But the audio you hear is a lav mic. So, using a lav mic does not get rid of the echo unfortunately. I wish!

And for the other question, yes, you can copy a clip and apply the effect to others by lassoing all the clips you want to apply it to, and then right-clicking and selecting "Paste Attributes" and you can paste the de echo effects you created. I'd recommend only doing this if the audio was recorded in the same space for each clip. You may need to do some slight adjustments if different people were talking. Hope that helps!

Dear Premiere Gal, I have loved your Premiere vids and learned quite a lot. I even liked this tut as the 99 person. Unfortunately, I have fallen in love with a new and very affordable program called DaVinci Resolve. I really hope you will join the movement to this powerful but, all so, accessible non-linear video editing program. Much love! PS. I will stay subscribed, so you're not losing me completely.

My bad, Victor. I didn't realize AUParametric was MAC Only. But the Parametric Equalizer is for PC. Also, a plugin that works well for PC for reducing echo is called iZotope RX6, there is a tool in the suite called "De-reverb" that will remove echo, you can get the standard license for $349 from Toolfarm here: bit.ly/GaliZotopeRX

Or you could just use the Parametric EQ low-pass filter to kill anything below 80-100Hz and it would basically do exactly what that plug-in is doing, minus the release time.. Meh, not sold on the CrumblePop plugin at all. Between EQ and iZotope's RX Elements plug-ins, I think I'll figure it out.
CrumplePop Echo Remover is Mac only plug-in, same it looks like for AUParametricEQ. Would be nice if this was stated at the front-end of the video and in the description. I do like watching the great tutorials by Premiere Gal, just not if I am going to waste time on learning about 3rd party plug-ins that are not true to the cross-host-platform of Adobe CC. (I am HP PC, as I get better value on bigger bang for my money there + most of my clients are PC based too)

Thanks for your feedback, Mads. I'm a Mac only editor and do not have access to a PC. I updated my description to include a plugin option for PC. The Parametric Equalizer I demoed is intrinsic to Premiere Pro for both Mac and PC. It looks like AUParametricEQ is a plugin developed Apple only -- this is news to me and my bad for having MAC only tunnel vision on this. I've updated that in my description as well. I hope Crumplepop becomes available for PC in the near future. For now, here is my suggestion for PC. There is a plugin called iZotope RX6 (it's about $200 more than crumplepop, but you also get other FX as well), from the RX, you can use the De-Reverb effect to reduce echo, here is a link to the product (I'd recommend trying a trial first): bit.ly/GaliZotopeRX

Thank you very much for your speedy reply and action. Yes, I've got the iZotope RX plugin which has dialogue de-noise which is second to none. I have yet to put the money on the table for the RX 6 advanced. Might do that once I've taken Audition to its full potential.
@PremiereGal
6 жыл бұрын
There should be a de-reverb option within the RX6 Standard? The de-noise effect will not work with echo. Let me know if you are not seeing the de-reverb option.

Thank you. Happily, and somewhat sadly, I am on the discontinued RX (5) plug-in pack. Which were 4 filters specifically for tidying up noise in post-production. It's a shame because it introduced me to iZotope excellence at a low-cost and I have recommended other video editors to get on board when they at times were shipping it at a deal of $30 only. But no more.

Hard limiter on your master output set to -0.1dB maximum amplitude, then bring the input gain up until the loudest parts of your video are just barely starting to hit -0.1 on the meter. That's it. Really simple.
Well done, thanks for taking the time to do this... Just one point, the Crumple Pop echo removal setting was too strong. You could have pulled the strength level back a bit... Just my opinion!

Your method would be more viable if you didn't use the plugin in the same video. The Plugin pretty much confirmed that your free method doesn't work. It would only be useable if the sound quality doesn't matter. Your video should have just been for the plugin.
