How to Remove Dents With PDR Tools
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video I am going to share with you how I remove Dents where no major damage to the clear coat or the base coat has occured. This kit will work on small, medium and large shallow or deep dents that have not damaged the metal too severely. No power tools necessary just some elbow grease and sounds from the gut.

I have watched several dozen videos of first time users of PDR kits as well as professional PDR techs. Your by far better than 99% of the first timers.
Thanks for the first two musical pieces, some of the best music ever heard on KZread!
Awesome video!!! My 96 Accord rolled into a house. I didn't curb my tires. I'm not looking for perfection but I don't want it to look the way it does now. This video is incredible! Thanks for the time you put into this.
What a great video. I only did you make me laugh, it was very informative. Keep up the good work. I am definitely subscribing!
I really do enjoy your sense of humor.
Perfect balance of useful information and humor. I had to subscribe. 😂
I was watching with the most straight face up til the end xD

Thanks for the clarity! You made more sense than most PDR pros!
Good video. great content. It is good to show tries with marginal success, as this is reality for most of us at home. I have been watching PDR videos constantly for a year now, and it is a lot harder than it looks, for sure. most successful guys use a combination of everything in the kit at the same time (and make it look easy)
I like honest reviews like this.
Dude i love your videos keep up the good work man i love it! I subbed like a month ago
Nicely done, and very professional teaching style.
Cool video man thanks I had the same problem on a Volvo xc60 some lady hit me she took off now I'm stuck with it I tried fixing it with a body dent puller and it worked out nicely.
I got that stuff too. It works pretty well. You got the deluxe kit there my man.

Video is really good. I’ve had really good luck fixing dents, including a nasty one that was on an inconvenient edge. The key is to he patient and don’t be discouraged if you don’t see results right away. My most bothersome dent took about 30 tries but I eventually got it to about 95% perfect. Also, preheating the metal with a heat gun really helps.
You crack me up....keep em coming!
thanks for uploading this great video
Love your videos man. After watching this I just bought the kit to fix some dents on my truck and wifes car that I didnt feel like paying a body shop to fix. Wish me luck!

Seeing something done that looks easy does not mean it is easily done. the PDR light training alone takes time to learn and to use those rods as well. Bodywork and PDR is an art as in craft not learned in a couple of sessions. I see many people do more damage trying to fix the dents on their car making it look worst to a point that when they give up and decide to take it to a professional it cost them more money to fix. My advice is to get it fixed by someone who has experience that works for himself.
Really looking forward to the next video
lol I love this guy serious but fun
Buying this kit and trying to figure out how to do body work would be an exercise in frustration. It takes many years to learn how to pound out dents and properly paint a car.
Always start at the edge of the dent first and apply a little heat to the metal with a hest gun or a good hand held hair blow dryer! My wife's blow dryer always works for me! LOL

what does a mechanic have to do with pdr? the answer is nothing. its two different fields, hell pdr and working in a body shop is different.
Great video. Best part was at the end!! Keep pulling.
Love your humor !
I really enjoy the way this guy this guy teaches about repair kits / PDR. He is very detailed. One thing NO one ever did was HOW to repair bumpers with CLIPS SEPARATE and how to place them back to together... I tried to repair two cars with JOINING clips just hell NEVER easy. I seen OTHER videos just BS 🦜🦜🦜🦜 always, NO good steps!!! Please 🙏🥺 🙏🥺 do a good video on it ALL sir with best steps !!!
To this day, your videos are amazing. Love the jokes, the one with the arm muscle, lol.
Great video; your viewers learn from your mistakes. If you had removed the lock mechanism from the door edge and/or the exterior door handle, you might have been able to get behind the body line and push the dent out with your new tools. You were leaning toward buying a replacement door anyway, so you really had nothing to lose, and could have educated your viewers even more. Thanks again.
That was a nice repair good job
This was a helpful video. What you can't do with a PDR is as important as what you can do with a PDR. However, you should have tried from the inside by removing the door panel. I think you could have gotten much farther.

Tractor Wrangler he’s just trying to sell his amazon affiliate link for this kit than actually show us how to use it. This was more of a commercial than a actual PDR video.
Great video, serious video, that is until you watch til the end 😂
"The Failed Repair Guy" Maybe Binford tools will sponsor him.
This shows you exactly why this process is to be left to the hands of highly skilled PDR technicians! Any paint missing, heavy scratches, folds in the metal or damage right on the edge of the panel are signs of damage that may not be fixable Paint-less. You can pull paint faster than you can blink and over stretch the metal outwards, making the damage worst and possibly creating a none fixable oil can effect that will require to replace the panel. If you care for your car, be cautious and think about it twice!

Ur right, practice at the junk yard till ur good, easy to try and do it, and make it so even a pro cant save it.. alot of that stuff in this kit is bs junk too. I watch the guy that does them at work, hundreds of times, he let me try a dent on my desk, nope golfball after i was done. But its a skill i would definatly love to learn.

+1 seen plenty of DIY PDR efforts on youtube to know that this is best left to the pros. had PDR done on my car by a pro and the end result is flawless - you cannot tell there was ever a dent there. it is not worth trying to do it yourself in the hope of getting a perfect result.
@MrMOGHammer
Жыл бұрын
@@numbnutsAU of course if your car is almost new it’s better to leave it to a pro but if not the only way to learn and get decent is to do it yourself watching pros do it on KZread. Plenty of stuff I get good at just by watching how to do it on KZread
yes finding a door is best option...i fixed a mustang last year and picked up a door for $60 and the electric window worked great..the old door was similar damage you have and power window motor was worn out...
The end had me dying😂😂😂
Great video!
Very good video. What kind of DA polisher were you using in the Video ?
*Video starts* Him : "Hey hey hey..." Me : "BITCOOOOOOONNEEEEEECT !!!"
Thank you so much. Right where my dent is. Perfect. I replaced the left passenger door and the quarter panels is sketch.
thanks for showing that its not always that easy to do the work that magically happens on youtube... there is probably a place for these tools but.. and yeah you probably did need to knock that out from inside
Love your show
Good PDRs are more like magicians. There are some folks here on YT who could pull that off. But i'm 95% sure they're NOT human.
Denatured alcohol works better than rubbing alcohol. You can get it a hardware store in paint section. It makes the hot glue peal off easy and clean
changing up technique is always of utmost importance
Those thin bars are good for poping body lines back out
Looks great, thanks for posting. I have 2008 toyota tundra. What method would you recommend for pulling a dent below the rear window in a tundra. Its the area between the bed and cab.
I hope that bridge puller is better than the AutoZone and Harbor Freight ones that I broke. I made my own out of a zinc bar and elevator bolts. My problem is my giant rubber feet still create dents!
Nice demo, not a great example to show but it was revealing to see how you do it. I gotta get a glue puller. You might look into getting a door skin if you can't find a door.
Starts pulling dents at 7:09
Hey bro, I have 2 small dents. 1 in the the tailgate the size of a quarter. And 1 in the drivers door the size of a gulf ball. What's the best tool for it. Don't want to rip off the paint.
Interesting video... But you forgot the most important ingredient, my dude. ...a Heat Gun. Heat makes the metal more pliable and prevents damage to the paint. Tough to work with cold sheet metal. But you did verify that it's strong at room temps. Just don't overheat or you'll warp the metal and damage your paint. Also, there are plenty of PDR YT channels to give tops on the tough jobs.
Good video carnal 😁
Great closing clip 😂
Good video 😎👍🤝
Yeah I have one of these kits but I think this whole idea is really meant for the smaller ding or hail damage. This type of damage is a little extreme for this idea.
Good try and good info.
hey it is better then before!
Where to get the PDR tools kit?! Harbor freight tools Store?! This video guy explains things well ! Enjoyed his videos! 💵🫑💵🫑💵
Omg that was so funny! Great vid and thx u
Best is how it was a very nice video and the joke at the end with his monotone face😂😂
Good Job !
Hi there I am sure saw you in New York long time ago.lesdents? I like you workmanship.
12:42 Omg dude at least u have ur sense of humor. I'm cracking up
Next, take it to a professional PDR place, and have them give you a quote. Might be they could still bring it back. That could save you a lot of time and work....
your stroke was to powerful lol, great video!

Hahaha!! Awesome. That shit was hilarious at the end.
If you preheat the the dent using a tourch fire or boiled water it would make the process much easier. Thanks for the effort
You better taking off door panel and tap the dent out from inside the door..... Remember when metal is heated up and pressed it has memory and should return into its pressed state...
@lubbockdentrepair
Жыл бұрын
“Tap the dent out” how? Just take it to a shop and no car metal does not have memory you can get kinks and lows out with heat and cold glue or hot glue but it doesn’t and won’t return. I fix dents all the time that are big and they “oil can” from stretching and moving and all memory is gone. There is hardly any memory whatsoever
i would like to see the other method with the stud thing.
depends also what what type of metal the door and quarter panel is as so metal don't like to return to its original state like aluminum
I always use a hard sand block I can't justify it but haven't burnt through paint since I got use to it
Nice Vid - You need to Tap down the Dent Crowns to release/soften the Metal - Then start Pulling & it will want to go back to its original Shape!
When do you think the partial panel painting video will come out?
I would not have expected that kit to pull that dent out, it was pretty severe.
Great outro.
Next time i recommend you work on the high spots first thats the correct way to approach a dent like that by tapping down the higher areas to be able to release tension to the rest of the dent
I laughed so hard at the end!

I like this guy
I've watched about a half dozen pdr vids on KZread so I'm basically an expert now. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to start in the middle of the dent.
What a happy ending!
I was learning. i was so interested. then he had to say it. damn
Thanks
Are these tools realiable for all types of paintless dent removal or are there more toold that i would need
How do you feel about buying car parts from Amazon? I’ve been debating on buying a full a/c system for my car, but I’m skeptical on the quality of the parts. Any advice?

Did you think about using a heat gun before you starting your pull?
Are you going to film the rest of the repair?
What glue stick do you use just a regular glue stick????
Try putting taking the inside door panel off and pushing from the backside. use the inside of a football and pump it up to push the panel out!
