You are the only person to give enough detail in your presentation about the process to make a successful removal of the back seat. Excellent video.

Taking out that damn seat was a nightmare! Couldn't have done it without your help man! I've had that truck for 17 years now....350,000 miles on it and It's never been out. I found pencils where my twenty-nine year old was in elementary school back there. Thanks big time for the advice. I just put a seat cover on the back seats and had to remove that. The Ford engineer that designed that needs a good swift kick! You were the only one on here that went back and forth to the seat and the fasteners in showing how it is done.

I would have never figured this out on my own. I saw so many videos on removing the seat but none applied to my truck. In the end I was able to fashion a tool out of some metal stock, and while it was not easy, I had the seat out in about 20 minutes. Up until then I had no idea and was about to start taking out the bolts holding the seat down, which would not have been easy. You are a life saver young man. Thanks so much for posting this video.

If I had not found your video, I would never have gotten my seat back out. My Chiltons manual didn't show it as well as you did. After an hour's frustration, I saw your video, and had the seatback out in a couple minutes. Thank you very much!

I believe my back windows been leaking a bit. My truck stinks when it rains. It smells like cat piss of all things. I just cut my hand grabbing a circular saw blade not long ago. After watching this I think I'll be able to do it. There's no way I would have been able to reach behind the seat like some other guys demonstrated. Thank you for the video brother.

Thank you so much for spending the time to walking through these steps, I actually took out my original window and cleaned it up and put the new seal on (5/16-15’ windo weld, kit/ from advanced auto) it took me 4 hours from start to finish, the glass suction cup, I bought from harber freight, , so it’s done & the right tools make easy work..

Wonderful explanation & video of the backseat backrest removal - I would have NEVER figured it out without your help. I found a very large standard screwdriver worked well, so no special tool required. I was able to install CoverKing custom seat covers on my 2004 Ford F150 XLT Super Cap thanks to you. Your detailed explanation help me get the damned seal back out. Other videos were close but they left out something or had me in the wrong spot. The only thing I’d add to all you explained is this… when you get your tool (I used a long large flat screwdriver) in that small hole and can actually push that plastic tab, use your other hand to grab the seat back and shake it a bit. Once I did that it popped right up. Thanks a million for your tutorial. It was excellent.

I found it so much easier to drive my truck to a local upholstery shop and they removed my rear seat for $ 10.00 dollars. Then I sound deadened my rear panel. Then my seat went back into place. Best $ 10.00 bucks I ever spent !!

Handy video! I'm glad Ford decided to improve the design of the back seat on the newer F150's to have them actually fold down by releasing the pin at the top (Which still isn't super easy but an improvement none the less)

juan baeza Me ha tocado remover vidrios que deberían ser mecánicamente pegados y los pegan con polyurethane en ese caso tengo que usar navaja para poder cortar si es posible le meto lazo o le meto alambre. cortar poco a poco para no doblar dónde va pegado

James Ouellette if the glass was replaced from because it was broken and all the broken glass wasn’t vacuum completely it could rattle on the lower part of the cab.

James Ouellette the other thing that could be making noise is the butyl they used was to thin or they pulled it to tight and broke off the nut on the encapsulation.

Why not remove the clip... The seat sits down in the pocket and is secured at the top. Not much chance of the seat being accidentally dislodged. What do you think?

My mechanic told me " that seat won't come out it's not removable."

No matter how it’s removed , it’s a pain.

To all the other videos who suggested shoving your hand through the side of the seat to pull the clip. You have lady hands and your wife is disappointed in you sexually. This way is so much easier for men with regular man-sized hands.

You didn't tell how to get the top hooks off man

This was the stupidest thing to get out. A real long screwdriver did it for me but it was more of a pain in the ass than it should have been.
