Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Is it possible to change the lights' color? I love to do that. But I don't know how. I took the cluster out and removed the black cover on the back. Now I see 6 black things for the lights. How can I remove those? Thanks

nice videos i having issue with my 2010 silverado 1500 mine lighs the miles numbers and but then the whole dash does not what can be the issue or how can a i fix i dont like it like that cant see the speed or check gauges at knight ,, so if i buy neew or used dashboard is gonna keep same miles info or ?

What is the resistance value of the resistor that sometimes burns, located beside the mosfet?

yea it could be fixed just get a new one and solder it and it will work.

Is there a second of the same mosfet in the top right of the board also?

@@JVFIXLLC my issue is that the gauges sometimes just won't respond completely like they are dead but the check engine still stays lit. I have to cycle the key a couple times for the gauges to respond but to be clear, when this happens if I just crank the truck over it will start and run but the gauges as well as the displays don't turn on only the check engine light stays on. I did replace the MOSFET and it still does it only sometimes. I originally thought this was a bad solder joint as it seems to only happen when it's cooler outside. I checked all my plugs and grounds already I also have dual batteries that are in good health. It used to be a police ppv , 09 Tahoe..

it should not affect the starting. sounds more like a blown fuse.

Does this mosfet also control the radio brightness?

no it's just for the cluster. u might have an issue with the radio

I am not sure about that. u have to check if you in Diesel exhaust fluid first. these trucks are nightmares when that light comes on.

Mine shows, the messages and odometer works literally only the backlight does not what can i do then....

gotta disassemble it and change the small bulbs. and also I would change the Moffett fotlr the little screen anyways because it fails alot

the Mosfet goes out because the soldering cracks it overtime causing bad connection and then it gets hot and burns.
