My biggest cause of depression was the fact that I never lived in the moment. My mind was constantly ruminating about the future or the past. Lately, I've been focusing my efforts on understanding myself more. For the first time in my life, I am actually excited about my future! Why? Because I honestly don't know what's going to happen next 😝 and I'm honestly excited about it. Im no longer afraid of not getting certain things or getting certain things because I realize that this life of mine is a journey...a journey I can enjoy.

I am 56 years old. It took me a long time to realize this. I must have been 45 when I first tried to think and live more at the moment and stop worrying so much about the future. Only since the last year have I succeeded in this way of thinking and stop overthinking about the future. Some of us likess to plan and worry and get upset when life brings us surprises.

“Living in the moment...” is so essential. Worry about the future, regretting the past drains life and focus out of your present.
Renewing the mind to think positive and learning yo cast down negative thoughts and the emotions connected to them and choosing to trust God and his word is key.. It does take time though to learn this .. Over time you will see change if you dont give up.
Quieting your mind requires taking massive action to solve your life problems so your mind is not to send you any emotions that are negative. 🔥

I agree but when ‘the moment’ itself is not happy, happiness does not come out. And I think that’s okay. Sometimes we go through periods in our life of great turmoil and misery. I think it’s okay to honor those moments. I was in an abusive nursing home for a bit and it was an extraordinarily difficult experience. Many moments were painful. But there were moments of beauty. So I guess I’m just saying, I think honoring moments for what they are is living. Not everything is happy, and that’s okay. And some things are happy, and that’s okay too. Being present is being mindful of all. And holding space for it 💕
" Create your own reality by the thoughts that you the think and the actions that you take" . Fantastic advice

I did not EvEr understand...HOW!?
Thank you for that healthy reminder❤️ Self care routine is not easy to do regularly but I'm trying anyway. God bless all who struggles with stress and anxiety 🙏🕊️
Stephanie thank you for this video ❤️ I have been working on trusting God and taking care of myself.its not easy but I have the willingness to keep on trusting. I believe God works through others and your video was helpful for me. I felt a little down this morning but after listening to you I was aware of what I was feeling The unknown is where I need to trust in God 💕
You are very professional and good at what you do. "Worry" is my middle name and I finally realize that there is a way to have control over my life without worry. Thank you for your videos. I play them over and over so they will become part of my automatic thought process. Thanks again!
Stephanie, you captured a concept perfectly here regarding "...do whatever it is...every single day that makes you feel the most like yourself." I knew "Myself" the very best at around age 17, before I jumped into the whirlwind of higher education, (having other people's philosophies crammed into my brain,) and one abusive adult relationship after another. I got away from creating my own art because, after undergraduate and graduate school - all I could hear was my college instructors' critical voices. I sit down to draw and paint, and my thoughts are OVERWHELMED by ruminations on memories of egotistical art professors' verbal declarations of what and how we should create. I used to LOVE to draw and paint, but now it's an anxiety trigger. These words of yours, "...do whatever it is... every single day that makes you feel the most like yourself," reframe my way of thinking about painting, back to what it was for me when I was young. When I was young, drawing and painting was an exercize, a self-investment, a motivation - time with God. Thank you for causing me to remember that!
You spoke to my soul today. I need to slow down and smell the roses. I need to enjoy each day as a gift. And celebrate times with my friends and family.
At the start of this video I thought it was going to be off-axis, but mid-way through it hits paydirt: self-parenting, being curious about your own emotional drivers, forcing yourself out of your comfort zone Remarkable.
Excellent advice Stephanie I love everything you say. I wish I had known this when I was much younger. And thank you also for mentioning another video about Louise Hay and her positive affirmations, they have helped me tremendously. I encourage everybody to listen to her about how to love yourself and achieve emotional healing. I do affirmations every day and I'm find myself happier every day. They have helped me with my breakup and with my struggles. When I feel like I'm struggling with my family's relationships I start repeating my affirmations and I feel much better. thank you so much.
I now practice being in the now & life is good just as it is ...healing, surviving & working towards thriving 🌷
I like to thank you from time to time Stephanie. I really learn every time I listen to your podcast even if it is the 20th time 🤗
This came at the perfect time. Thank you!

Hi Stephanie, I have been watching your playlist "Learn to love yourself", and this video was the last on the list. Thank again so much and I wish the best for you and for your family. Take care. Jéssica
Stephanie, thank you for all your videos. They have helped me a lot on what I’m going through at this moment.
You absolitely nailed what Im going through so much noise, anxiety and negativity surrounding my health and the health of my family makes for a miserable and depressing life thanks for your tips
In a book about emergency preparedness that I am in the process of finishing I cover the subject of “Panic” and how to control it. Most books will just suggest that you don’t panic but few if any tell you how to do that. I am glad that you showed similar strategies in your presentation of how to reduce stress. You are quite correct mentioning that the fear people feel is in fact a result of them not knowing what they can expect to happen. Also correct was your advice on how to live in the moment. In my book I suggest that they just concentrate on what they need to do immediately for their survival and reassure them that they are now more than at any other time in their lives in control of their lives. I have them establish new rituals that will help them to establish new routines to make them feel more at ease with their situations. So I think you covered the topic extremely well, know you had to put in a lot of effort and I thank you for it.

Needed this today. Thank you!
Absolutely helpful!!! *SAVE*
Worrying never changes nothing Can’t change the past, focus on the present moment cause there is no dress rehearsal in Life
So much truth in everything you said
I am a 56 year old man and as a Beatles and John Lennon fan, I listened to and read his song (his first album after being a stay at home dad for 6 years) "life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans" Then he was killed and I really agreed with his statement. But I didn`t manage to follow up on this because I was 19 years old. It took 35 years to sink in and truly understand it.
This video saved my life.

Hello There Lyn 🌹🌹🌹 Being in the moment,, Trusting the process of Life is what I am working on now,.. , it's possible.🌹🌹🌹. Thank You 🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏💞💞💞
Practice Self-worth and Self-love: 1. De-clutter your mind and keep your thoughts calm, kind, optimistic and present. 2. Challenge your thoughts (dig deep) that often come from your wounded self or ego (you are not your thoughts) = stories of fear, stress and worry, blame. Trust yourself and the process of life unfolding the way it is supposed to.
Too blessed to be stressed.
