My brother just bought me a santa cruz longboard for my birthday. I used to skate board as a kid about 30 years ago, I was able to hit a red run after about an hour learning to snowboard after 25yrs exp of skiing so I'm super excited to do some cruising n carving. This vid is super helpful n I've subbed! Love from the UK 🇬🇧👍

Will you make a video on how to handle speed wobble when your going downhill and fast? I crashed while bombing a hill my second day of long boarding. I didn’t get off successfully and hit my head on the pavement. I was knocked out and thankfully my boyfriend had a bystander and cop help and was able to call 911. I was life flighted and I have three skull fractures and staples in my head to go along with the black eye and bruising to my face. I want to long board with a helmet now on and pads like you recommended and I wish I had watched tutorials like yours before going out to learn. I am going to watch videos on how to longboard, even though I can’t for while till I get better. I don’t want to give up on the fun and I can use this time to learn more before I get on a board again. I am not supposed to drive, sneeze or cough due to injury but when I’m better I plan to wear protective gear and go again but slower working my skill levels up. Like breaking and getting off a board safely. I didn’t know how to safely handle my situation when I was going fast and wobbling… the biggest difference would have been gear. Would have prevented a wrist and head injury that slowed my life down all cause I wanted to enjoy my longboard, without a helmet. Thank you for your videos ❤

Don't you have more control with your back foot flat on the board when getting low?

I've tried the other ways to push and could never get on the board and the mongo is the only one that works better for me.

No way... I push Mongo for years, and you have more control and you can push faster! MONGO IS ALSO GREAT! All the skaters that tell you not to do it, dont know it, because other skaters tell them.. please follow your own style dudes! 🛹
