video summary in case you’re in a rush before your shower 🥴: - style with your hair very wet: when your hair has frizz it needs more moisture, normal water adds moisture on top of products. your hair will stay in clumps and stick together better. - which products you use: very moisturising product (good leave in or good curl cream: medium hold), gel to hold the curls a lot better. for more definition don’t use mousse, gel provides more hold along with leave in. - after products distributed use a styling brush (most like to use denman brush but don’t need to!!). helps to even out product and clump the curls together. - after brushing with style brush you can finger coil (brush through hair once and twirl hair into a little twist sort of like a tornado). don’t have to do it to all since it takes a long time, you can do it on the most visible parts or most frizzy. go with your natural hair pattern, how to find out what that is, is by scrunching and see the way it rotates and finger coil that way. e.g inwards or outwards. - do NOT use a regular bath towel to dry your hair since the little hooks and stick up parts tend to get caught on curly hair. instead use a micro fibre towel or a cotton t-shirt. - using the t-shirt/towel scrunch up, but gentle don’t fully curve your hands over you hair and possibly disturb the curly pattern. you can use both hands and really encourage curl. don’t scrunch it dry. - use a diffuser (be careful about the heat and wind settings, much better when lower but it’s ok if it’s taking to long). when diffusing make sure not to be super aggressive and scrunch. dry away from your head first and just move the diffuser around to help lock in the curls. then go in to the roots once 85% dry and do this until 95% dry. don’t touch your hair while doing this and separate curls. - if you feel like your hairs crunchy then, you can leave this if you don’t mind, but you can scrunch out the crunch (lol) but DONT pull apart the curls. - make sure you get your split ends trimmed regularly (sooner or later depending on hair health) this can make you hair look a lot less healthy. when your curls stop holding definition at the end. lmk if you watched the video and i missed anything (i don’t think i did). stay curly. 😽

I struggled with this too, something that really helped for me was finger coiling that section of hair & applying extra gel to that area once I was finished(:

Shelly Carol Pandey it’s annoying 😞 cuz if I scrunch my hair to high it gets oily at the roots and when I scrunch it where my curls start it still gets frizzy and stuff

Me too! No matter what I do, my curls do NOT form at the top of my head! They only start to curl when it hits my ears! 😩 and the back of my head had a TON of strands that don’t curl at all, so some days it looks like a terrible curling job! And I’ve been at the curly girl method for two years 🤔

Draw Darling same w me for almost a yr and I straighten my hair but I don’t do it a lot because I don’t want to get heat damage
My hair literally looks EXACTLY like yours when its wet but I have such a hard time getting it to consistently be like PROPERLY wavy/curly what the heckk. I've been doing a modified curly girl method for about a year now & I have had some really good wash day results but it's so rare, & I don't think I've ever had it turn out as curly & defined & voluminous as yours!!
Your hair is everything girl, thank you for the tips!
Hey Marissa. I really love your channel. I'm so happy that I came across your channel because you really helped me embrace my curls!!! I look forward to more awesome videos from you.

You explained the steps so well, thank you so much! Your hair is gorgeous, I hope in time mine will look half as good. With love from a currently damaged curl pattern 💋
I'm so glad this video ended up on my feed. My hair seems very similar to yours...I think! I just started my natural curly hair journey this summer. My curl type is 2b/2c/3a. I have long, thick hair and used to have LOTS of it. I'm talking like Cousin It lots of it. Lol. But I was diagnosed with Grave's disease last year and since then, about half of it has fallen out. Weirdly enough, for most people, now I look like I have a normal amount of hair. That's my silver lining :) Anyway, I appreciate the way you're demonstrating your tips and tricks. Unlike a lot of other hair care KZreadrs, you not only show what you do, but explain why you do it! That makes a big difference!
Glad i found this channel 😍... Clear explanation and you're really gorgeous with pretty hair

Love it! Do you have any favorite up dos since it’s summer and hot I’d love some ideas 😍
Thank you so much for a straight forward and easy method! As a guy it’s hard to find good info and most women I’ve seen prior use a bunch of high dollar products lol their hair looks incredible but I don’t have the money or time to put like ten different things in my hair 😂 Edit: also big props on the tip to get more volume at the crown! My hair is huge but on top it’s always just flat and it gives my head a weird shape lol
Finally I see a cg on you tube with my curl pattern

You have such pretty hair! My hair was that length, but I regret ever having a layer cut as it made my hair look shorter😭 and what coincidence. I have the exact same diffuser and use the same gel lol😂
I love your videos!! I have similar hair as well but not as thick so i always had trouble getting volume and definition. My hair is thin but i have a lot of it so i guess it makes it thick? Lol idk .. I just purchased a diffuser which i can not wait to use since I’ve never used one before!! 💗

Good video! It never occurred to me to use both cream (for moisture) and gel (for hold).. Thanks!
Just subbed! Thanks for the tips, I really never learned how to style or take care of my curls. I’m sure I might have missed it but I was wondering what shampoo&conditioner you use? Anyways, love your hair and good luck on your KZread journey 💕
I have 2c-3a hair now, im trying to get back to my 3b curls but if i can get to what you have, ill be happy
Yes, I can't believe what a difference the Denman brush makes on my 2b/2c hair. Everything else staying the same, it really smooths out the hair and reduces wet frizz. Also, since my hair tends to be dry on top, I break the cast with a little hair oil on my hands.
So happy I found your channel! I’m also from Texas. (Saw on the gram) Your curls are gorgeous!!

Yes!! This is so helpful 🌟 we have a similar curl pattern! It’s been actually hard to find this pattern lol. Do you part your hair? I struggle with that, because when I part it it looks flat, but when I don’t it looks less defined :(
