Bill Bobaggins “hitler”, “fascists” , and “liberals” are really just stand-ins for the game concept. It’s really not a political game, but if you go to the amazon reviews some people get heated lol.

This was so great! I like to play this game in my classes when we start our WWII unit, but I started explaining it to my 6th graders today since they had extra time. There were a few rules that I forgot! I'm going to show this video to them so that we can play the game on Monday. Thank you!

Yes, the production definitely reminds me of Vox, and I mean that as a compliment.

This is my go to for explaining how this game works and if they may want to play. It's such a short video and whilst isn't thorough explains tne overall ideas well enough with a very interesting style.

Was hoping to dig this out at the weekend with a bunch of my Polish chums. Great tutorial. Now I just need to convince 5 Poles to play a Hitler-centric bluffing game.

I know it's been said in the comments already, but man, this makes me miss TableTop. And also, excellent video!

@@RhynoBytes857 its not as flashy as Tabletop but the hosts are amazing and they do a great job of explaining games. They are 7 seasons in with over 200 games played.

Oh, I know this game! My great grandpa played it when he was young, sometime in the 1920s, and won some kind of big match! Though we don't really talk about it at home.

Sometimes simplicity is the best way. Look at the Confirmed Not Hitler card the Tabletop Simulator player created ; it ruins the balance and make libs even more powerful.

How 'bout a twist home rule? Nazis are a separate faction, who can use the "purge" power, so to speak, and everyone has to band to defend against the Nazis. A) The hilarity of Fascists and Communists having to band together. B) Reflects real life, where other fascists were purged by the Nazis, austrofascists and strasserites.

...but the directions say Hitler opens his eyes and "does" know who the other fascists are....so??

This is only if there are 5 players. Fascists and Hitler only know each other’s identities if there are only 5-6 players since that is the minimum players needed to play the game. Once there are more than 6 players, Hitler no longer knows the identities.

so if president is random and is fascist cuz u know rng and elects hitler as chancellor and it gets through, then the games literally over in a minute?

That only applies after 3 or 4 fascist policies have been put into place. Can't happen before then.

Need to have the trump fascist cards updated with bill barr and steve mnuchin instead of bannon and spicer... and have that more widely distributed....

I love everything about this, but man, something about potentially being "Hitler" and by extension playing a game that forces me to root for and really want Hitler and his Nazis to win and do what they do just really rubs me the wrong way. Like, did I just spend half an hour secretly desiring to successfully orchestrate the Holocaust? I guess we ALL are the "Secret" Hitler. The philosophical repercussions will haunt me forever. :(
