It's clear why they chose the M9 over Vox Machina for Munchkin. The game would grind to a standstill on the first round, as they would have struggled with all the doors.

She does such a great job at explaining the games. Its so much easier understanding how to play after watching her videos. The ambiance and editing for her videos are also wonderful.

I agree. Great job. We started to play this game,thinking we could learn and play at the same time. Nope. You have to watch a video like this and then read the rules.

They changed the +10 to Monster to +9 for obvious reasons. That's bloody brilliant. xDD

Kick open the door.... and that's why they went with Mighty Nein and not Vox Machina.

@@koben333 I think it just depends on which party you saw first. I watched Mighty Nein first and went back to watch Vox Machina and felt that the characters were way more generic and the campaign, too, was too black and white for my taste. It's still great and entertaining, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't at all measure up to the moral complexity of Mighty Nein's arc, as well as the way less cookie-cutter character choices they made.

This fully supports my hypothesis that carpenters hold the real power in the worlds of D&D.

So great that you all did this video -- superbly done, and I love the backdrop, costume, and setting. I am an avid board gamer and D&D player who is also a big Munchkin fan (I do not understand the level of animosity towards Munchkin in the board gaming world), and a Critical Role fan. Cannot wait to have this in my collection.

I love this art over the classic Munchkin cartoon look. Next there will be a Forgotten Realms set too? (fingers crossed). Amazing outfit Becca.

I mean, Munchkin has a whole bunch of expansions so it's not the first time it's been 'remastered'.

@@krismueller Ooh...it's been way too long since I last played. I forgot that the rooms on the map board were just how you kept track of your level. I was thinking there was some other significance to them. So yeah, should work fine. :)

I am a big Munchkin fan and have many of the deluxe sets, but for the versions with character cards (Marvel Munchkin, for instance) the boards aren't necessary as you keep track of your level on the card.

So often luck wins the game. Though trading and collaborations may help along the way. Mmmm.

Oh, finally the pink hair. Like every one else...She is still the best.

Excited to give this a try. The art is cool, but I was thinking... there is SO much CR fan art, they should have just pulled from submitted fan art and given fans credit/compensation to use the fan art on these cards

Since forever I think.. If you join a fight & it goes bad then it doesn't only go bad in one direction; anyone involved has to try to escape individually, & has to attempt to do so once for any enemy involved.

"We're kickin down doors and looking for..." Well, that didn't rhyme out like hoped it would. ;) The horrible things that make me smile.

I just got this edition of munchkin and I fricking love it! It's everything I pictured it to be. But there's one thing, and I know that it might be petty of me, that really bugs me about it. WHY THE F**K ISN'T MOLLYMAUK A PLAYABLE CHARACTER?! Look, I know he's dead, but if you're gonna have a character be on the box art, and yes he was my favorite character in series, but could you at least make him playable?! I know that some of you may think I'm being way too harsh, but I hate when creators deceive you. If you gonna make a character be on the box art, MAKE HIM THE F**K PLAYABLE!

I am weirdly disappointed that they didn't use the usual kind of Munchkin art for this set :-(

The irony of promoting a CR product, it is delicious.

Still makes so so irritated that they didn't make a character card for Molly. Like...seriously, he was with them for like 300+ hours. I guess I'll make one myself. Also, thanks for the video! I would much rather watch someone play then read the instructions lol.

i like Critcal Role and i love Munchkin - but i give this a pass, the art style does not fit for me into munchkin, and where is the scream at your friends phase? its the most important one ;D
