First of all, your youtube videos are far and above some of the best tutorials anywhere. Your patience and detailed explanations are simply amazing. You have over 70,000 thousand subscribers. We should all send him a dollar of month. That's less than a cup of coffee a month for the best tutorials on the planet by some of the greastest song every written. He should be able to sit home and devote his time to more videos. 12 dollars over the course of a year is meaningless to us for all we get back. I am headed to paypal to give him 12.00 now. I challenge all of you to do the same. Let the man do what he does!

Besides the fact you are a great guitarist and excellent teacher for this stuff, one of my favorite things about you is, like myself, you show your amazement and appreciation of simplle little licks when you recognize and discover them. Keep making the music FUN. Thanks for that!

Wow. This is a great video!!! A great contribution to the music community. Your staging is perfect. The guitar is the focal point...due to you providing the black backdrop and clothing. It's clear, and easy, to see what you're doing. Great lighting. Well done with the cinematography. A+ I recently started learning this song, after hearing a friend perform a cover of it. This song is a great story...and it needs to be continued to be shared. I think it's so cool that you cover, not only the rhythm chords, but you also include the lead guitar licks. After watching your demonstration, I now have a whole new respect for country lead guitarists. So cool!!!!!!!! Definitely going to be listening a whole lot closer to these licks, next time this song is on. Thank you so much for all of the time/energy that you've poured into this. It really shows. I, too, make videos(automotive...not a "plug" for my stuff), so I have an idea of what kind of time investment is required to capture a video like this. I'm really looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Thanks so much for this!! Country licks have never been in my wheelhouse. Though I admire the heck out of good country players, I know I have never been one. Of course, being 60 years old I have heard this song many times but never took time to learn the lead guitar part. My band wanted to play it but for the first time in LONG time, I was stumped about how to put this together for them. You made it happen for me and I learned a lot in the process. TRULY appreciate it!

I love that song, but can't find any proper lessons on the internet. Really appreciate what you are doing, and I love the way you teach. +EclecticHillbilly Hi saw your issue about holding a pick and thought I would give you another suggestion, I dont really use a pick very often myself because I dont play in public so dont need that little bit of extra volume at home but what I used to do was drill 4 holes in a diamond shape on the pick where the fleshy bit of your thumb and fingers would be , you can drill maybe a dozen picks at a time , I found this gives a bit more grip , hope this might help you out . James.
