good lesson.he shows how it's actually played. its always better to play the chords and melodies like the song and slow it down instead of calling every note out like." play bflat note on the 1st fret 5th string, g note 5th fret on the 4th string," etc... makes it harder to follow that way.

    1. You put the guitar at the center of the screen and not your face like the other self-satisfying 'tards 2. You started the video with a demonstration of yourself playing the song exactly the way George did 3. You don't waste my time Subscribed, liked, and shared. If I had money, I'd donate. Thank you so much!!

Completely agree. He plays the song first so we all know exactly how this tutorial will teach us. No need to waste time watching a 30 minute video with someone who can't be bothered to put a demonstration in the very beginning.

As far as Im concerned, this is the most beautiful thing George Harrison ever played. Listening to this tune/song almost brings tears to my eyes. I feel my soul expanding. Thank you, George, for leaving us this. And thank you, sir, for showing us how to play it. Listening to it over and over is great ! BTW, your guitar is absolutely gorgeous. I love the wood and the nice natural matt finish. The sound, too, is delicious.

That's I think the biggest mistake beginners make: making wrong assumptions as to how quickly one should learn something. There I sat, frustrated after practicing Chick Corea's Spain for an hour or so, because I couldn't get it right. Next guitar lesson I talked to my teacher about it, and he went "Oh I needed a month or so to learn it." That Satriani solo? Yep, couple of weeks. I know your comment is two years old, but this goes for all beginners. Take your time. And practice slowly, that's how new connections are formed in the brain. Your brain has to learn it correctly to speed it up.

Once again, thank you. I had some of the chords already, but was able to refine and get much more accuracy through the tutorial. In about 45 mins of watching, the song was pretty much in the bag. Best tutorials I've found on line. You move at a nice steady pace and very clear. Well done! More Beatles please....:-)

I've just done the Beatles tour this week end in liverpool going to the childhood homes of fab four plus Strawberry fields penny Lane and the famous cavern club. they payed this song on the tour bus after leaving George's childhood home and the tour guide gave a fantastic speech about him. I was welling up with tears. what a great song and you play it perfectly.

I did the same tour with my wife and kids about five years ago and it brought back so many memories. I was born and grew up in North Wales and Liverpool was a Mecca to me. I even sang in both cathedrals and the Philharmonic Hall. I had a pint in the Philharmonic pub where the band often used to drink. Have you seen this? kzread.info/dash/bejne/hGd4k5qYd6iTpbA.html

Hi. Great tutorial. Especially like the way you taught how to get the feel, the dynamics, the almost casual sound that's so important with this song ... and I'm nearly there thanks to you. Excellent and many thanks. Tom

Late to the party but I just recently discovered your work. This song has given me troubles because I fell into the bad habit if playing it wrong. This video is helping me to repair decades of damage. My problem was the actual notes in the right places. I sounded okay and it was recognizable but I knew it was wrong. This and Angie lol. Total thumbs up. I read your comment about a thumbs down bumming you out. I look at it as a thumbs down with no constructive explanation is meaningless. Who knows the reason or intent. Some folks lead a thumbs down kinda life. This is the best tut of this song I've seen, thanks.

Fantastic tutorial! Took me a week of solid practice, but I finally got it down. Now it's just a matter of playing the hell out of the song through the winter, until the sun finally comes back and George Harrison stops spinning in his grave.

I'll join the chorus of yayys. These lessons are great. One neat quirk is how you "fast forward" your strumming to get back to where you want to be. I do that too!
