“If you play a few extra notes you won’t get kicked out of the band, you won’t get food thrown at you”!!! Brilliant lesson as always Shane, it can join Norgenian Wood, as one of the ‘Songs my girlfriend used to love until I played them every day for two years straight, now not so much’ 👍😀

You mentioned at the beginning that there were tons of tutorials on this song, that's true, but yours is easily the clearest. I'm 71 now and you've just taught me how to play this classic that I'd virtually given up on. Can't teach an old dog new tricks? I beg to differ, keep up the good work my friend.

This is a hard to song to teach and communicate - the intricate target chords when strumming. I've watched other videos and struggled finding the melody in the song. I watched this lesson a few times and it all just clicked- great song to play on acoustic! Many thanks Shane great teacher it's appreciated. Steve

Hi mate. Hope all is well. Thanks for the cool accurate account of this song. I have been tracing some of George's work. I just finished watching the music bash they hard after he passed away. Featuring Ringo, Paul, Eric Clapton and George's son Danhi.....One of my favourite true greats. Cheers Shane, great timing.

Terrific lesson Sean! I remember reading somewhere that George wrote that song while he was staying at Clapton's house one night. He woke up very early and went out onto the back terrace. As the Sun started to come up, he wrote the lyrics and then put the music to them later on. Pure musical genius! BTW, the best version of this song was done on Saturday Night Live by George & Paul Simon. Just the two of them with their Acoustic guitars. Probably the best live musical performance ever by a duo. Go check it out as you can find it on YT. Anyway, hope that you are doing well & staying safe...... 👍👍😉😉🎸🎸

Yes there are other "How to play Here Comes the Sun" videos. But none of them quite have your teaching style, which I've grown to enjoy very much in the couple of weeks I've known of your channel. Man, there are so many songs for me to learn!! Having to subscribe to your Patreon is a small price to pay to get those awesome songsheets you make, too. A request -- if you haven't already done it, that is. Can you do a video of Led Zeppelin's Over the Hills and Far Away? I'd love to get your take on it.
