How To Play Ableton Push LIKE A PRO (43 Chord Voicings)

Музыка

Breakdown of a bunch of useful chord voicings for Ableton Push. Push is a great tool to play chords and chord progressions. I learned how to play these chords at a time when I didn't have a keyboard. I only had the Push and made the most of what I had.
In this video, I show you over 40 different chord shapes on the Push. Obviously there are more possible chord voicings than this, but it's a great place to start!
---
Learn the fundamentals of the language of music with Ableton Push. I am excited to share the first installment of my music classes with Push.
This class will teach you about note names, scales, intervals, chords and chord progressions through the lens of Ableton Push. Includes 20 videos and 5 PDF slides with overlays of note names, scales, scale degrees, sharps and flats and roman numerals.

@@samjones3433 just screen capture each chord, zoom into the box, and put them in a word doc. Print it out or make a PDF and there you go! Or… get a book on guitar triads and chords and focus on the low E to G strings and you’ll get lots of chords! (Oolimo is a software). The rows are in 4ths, which is what a guitar is tune to (except the interval between g and b, which is a third)

I think it would ruin the very idea of Ableton Push then. Just think about it as if you were playing guitar. Have you ever played guitar? There's no keyboard))) there's fretboard instead and you have to get used to it. All shapes, all chords, tablature and all that stuff) you have to memorise it otherwise you are lost. And it is not so hard if you try. Just keep on trying and that's it. The best way is to try it by using fakebook (real book) then in a 1-2 months you'll be a pro.

Have you played a Linnstrument? You'd probably really enjoy it, you can change the key layouts in many ways, scales include chromatic notes, it's got a functional arpeggiator (which you can't even get in the Ableton DAW), MPE, splits, and knobs for shoulder straps. Plus Roger Linn is super helpful if you ever need any technical support, who else offers that level of personal service? I got one a few years ago and made a ton of music with it. Your playing is quite impressive, btw! Cheers

If you memorize the interval shapes (octave/thirds/fifths/sevenths/etc) then you can apply those building block shapes to explore and improvise. Most important interval shape is the octave. That will help for using inversions while improvising.
