Thanks for taking a different approach on this Push 3 video. I watched too many videos yesterday that went over the basics ad nauseam. Yours is the first I watched without feeling the need to skip through to find the meat. You managed to cover the new features in an entertaining and involving way for 10 min straight -- thank you! Never new you could freeze to covert midi to audio…cool. What I usually do is loop a midi clip and then record the audio on it’s own track… one reason I like this approach is I can record audio for longer than the midi clip so I can do many variations with real time hardware tweaks.

Amazing push performance as always in youre videos!! What do you think about the pad sensitivity (not expression) in comparison with push 2 for playing piano instruments?I have both... push 3 and 2 , but I cant seem to find acceptable pad sensitivity settings on push 3 for playing nuanced piano instruments like with push 2. Maybe you can share youre push 3 pad sensitivity settings? thank you!!

I keek coming back to your video for connecting my external synths in Standalone, nothing easier. Can you share your process or reccomend one for sampling synths when in controller mode? Thanks, and can't wait for your course to start!!

@@jxmieblake Sonic State video of the push 3. Its possible but probably the push3 was not in standalone mode. It also says so in the manual. Pretty shitty, it made me not buy it and stick with bitwig, get a APC40 MK2 to add to the elektrons etc to downsize the setup. My flightcase isn't portable anymore 🤣 when i saw the push 3 I was thrilled because it would replace the laptop and the mixer at once. But thinking about it a laptop isn't that bad. Many artist use hw and laptop so its ok, i was just too snobby at first.

None of the push 3 reviewers have mentioned the surface finish. Is it the same TPE rubberized surface used on the Push 1 and Push 2? If it is, this surface deteriorates to a sicky gummy mess. Researching this on the net, only to find its the same for other owners. The surface breaks down over time in normal ligh. There is no known solution, short of removing the surface with rubbing alcohol.

I kinda refuse to believe that you’re purposefully hitting the portion of each pad that opens/closes filter. Not seeing any vibrato techniques, I imagine it just sounds more unique when your finger lands wherever on the pad. Am I wrong?

Good question! And it’s a mix of intentionality and chance. There are certain parts where I played lower on the pads than others.

The beat is nice. And I'm sorry to be that guy. But... I'm not sure I need a €2,000 groovebox to make lo-fi beats, as great as that groovebox might be. xD The stripped-down controller looks good but €400 more than Push 2. I know German economy is not doing well. But come on, that's %60 price increase.
