Very good looking video, but maybe a helpful tip (as a nurseryman who plants more then 10.000 containershrubs a year in the field) keep the turf of your containerplant always covered with topsoil and don't let it rise 2 inches. Once turf dries out it can start drying out you're entire rootball. Just cover it with 1 inch of topsoil and you're fine. And another tip, if you buy containerplants always take the container off to inspect the rootsystem; unhealthy rootsystem = unhealthy shrubs. You do give excellent advice on circular roots though!

Great tutorial! I am preparing a bed to plant a few Redtwig Dogwoods, so this information was just what I needed. I am in zone 5b. Is there any problem planting these in early fall or is it better to get them in the ground as soon as possible? (It's mid-August now.) Thanks!
