    Thanks Martin. My comment about dynamic symmetry in composition was answered I think! I'm pretty sure you were kidding when you said you'd have to look it up, and maybe shooting from the heart is where you are at. I saw you use the golden selection in one video, and wondered if you had any thoughts on composition in general...

  • @botvidsson

    @botvidsson

    4 жыл бұрын

    For the composition I just go by my gut feeling and experience I guess - from the heart. When you add composition to "dynamic symmetry" I understand 😃 I believe it's the hardest part in photography, and the most important one. You can have the most beautiful light in the world but if the composition is off then you have nothing. I realise I need to do more videos on this topic, it's hard though... I think photographers need to study professional photographers photos to get the basic idea of composition.

  • @TheMrRatzz

    @TheMrRatzz

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for taking the time to reply Martin, and that is exactly what I have been doing. Not just great modern photography, but some of the old masters of painting too and finding how they studied composition. I saw a video recently and its title was so!etching like "The rule of thirds is destroying photography"... The guy was right to an extent, but from there went on to learn more about dynamic symmetry and how it has been used in fine art and still life composition for centuries. It's a big topic, I realise, and I get the feeling that you shoot from the heart, but you have a great eye. All the best my friend. Looking forward to seeing the next video soon! Simon.

    Hi Botvidsson. I have discovered you on the search for good studio/product photography. Now one week that i have subbed to you and I am up to date already. Watched all your vids :D. You should consider to blurr your final product in the thumbnail. It all comes more as a surprise when you FINALY show us the results. I am always like; okay show me the final pr- ohh Ive seen it already :/ Keep up the good work and please don't stop this.

  • @botvidsson

    @botvidsson

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes. Thanks for that input. Believe me, I have considered that option, not sure yet what to do. You know, people tend to click on great thumbnails instead of reading titles, however, if I can come up with a way to “blur” the image in a way that intrigue people anyway that would be great. At the same time, the way I think is that if I see a beautiful photo in combination with ‘tutorial’ I would click that video instantly. Hard...

    @@botvidsson yes.. I see. The final product is more attractive to click on. And so it gives you more views. One click = one "view", but do they watch the entire video or more like; 'oh I see his setup and I got the final product, nice' - leaves video to never sub (he did not get to know you to stick) if they don't have the final product they could stick and watch the entire video, like you, like your style and subscribe you. It's a difficult one. You can ask it in one of your videos while shooting or so.
