Happy you find me. Thanks!
Absolutely great. I love your organic approach. No huge muliti-million dollar studio, but yet multi-million dollar results. You've drastically improved my work. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite product photographers, and I think I need the recipe of your coffee to make me even better! ;0) Please keep up the good work. Subscribed! Cheers to you from USA!

Insight Video Wow, huge thanks. Makes me so happy that you learn some from my chaotic videos. That’s my no1 goal. Coffee... hehe. Well it’s very simple - double espresso with a splash of 3% fat cold milk, served in a Moroccan coffee/tea glass. Enjoy!
I really like "I've absolutely no idea where to put the flash" at 12:14. In a way, it keeps you starting from basics, like figuring out as you go. Very well done and put together. Thanks a lot!

Martin - Your video meanders all over the place, and it just so happens to be ........ this is Exactly how the creative process really unfolds. Instead of showing us a sugar coated presentation of perfectly logical steps, you share the Ups and Downs and Searching that develops in a Real photography session. And you do it in under 15 minutes!!!

How did you retouch out the line from the paper roll on the left lens? Seems like that was a very important part that was missed. Love your vids btw. Thanks!
@botvidsson
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, in post I felt it was not looking good so I just retouched it out, just some clone stamp/spot healing brush tool if I remember correct. Sorry, I did not make any post production videos back when I recorded this video. One of the first I made.
Martin can you use a diffusion sock over the honey comb grid as a diffuser instead of a sheet of diffusion paper?
@botvidsson
4 жыл бұрын
No you can't. You need to have some distance between flash and diffusion to get a gradient effect on the object.
Nice video! Do you have a link for the plastic diffusion material you ordered in Netherlands?

Tjena! Om du hade gjort detta med vanliga glasögon istället för solglasögon hade du ändrat något då? Nåt annat att tänka på? Frågar åt en vän 😜
@botvidsson
4 жыл бұрын
Hade nog gjort liknande tror jag. Ibland när man fotar vanliga glasögon så tar man bort glaset. Då hade nog inte denna ljussättning varit så kul, förmodligen hade jag då gjort någon helt annan setup.
what type of diffuser paper or fabric is that?
@botvidsson
3 жыл бұрын
I always use Savage Translum Medium Weight. I think you can find a link under all my videos to my Amazon shop!
What was the name of the paper brand you have used to beautifully diffuse the light?

Looks like the Canon 100mm macro L
I tried to do this using a softbox but I can't get the nice gradient reflection that you have here in the glass. Mine has a "hard reflection". Can this not be achieved with a softbox?
@botvidsson
5 жыл бұрын
No it can not be done with a softbox. Take of the softbox and put on a reflector with a honey comb grid, then place a diffusion paper as close as possible to the product you're shooting and place the flash behind so that flash spot will appear in the glasses.
@lewisfilms
5 жыл бұрын
botvidsson okay, that k you! Translum is the best diffusion paper?
@botvidsson
4 жыл бұрын
In my experience yes but there are many alternatives that probably will work as well.
