I like the way you teach. Most videos just show the prefect settings and don't explain properly or the differences. You also go at a good pace to learn.

i'm really glad i found your channel because your videos are educational and really funny at the same time. I really like the fact you are sharing the thought process behind the shots and sometimes act like you have no idea what you are doing :)) thank you very much for sharing your experience, Stefan

This one was particularly appealing to me. I've tried to shoot sunglasses before but have had little success. Could you do something similar to this with a single light and/or light painting?

  • @botvidsson

Glad I can help. I think sunglasses need at least two lights as a minimum. Of course you can always light paint, I have a Nike shoe (pink) video where I light paint, check it out. Shiny sunglasses will be a bit more complicated to light paint, but it's possible. We'll have to see it I have the time to do a tutorial like that...

@@botvidsson I only have two speed lights and two light stands, as well as remote radio triggers (no HSS). I have some small defusion soft boxes, some 5-in-1 reflectors, and just yesterday I went to my print supply store and bought some black foam boards, various colors of cellophane (like gel), and some reflective cardboard. I'm on a budget, so pricey c stands and studio lights will have to wait, but I hope I'm moving in the right direction (many thanks to you and your videos!) I want a snoot next! I am "oktyabr" on flickr (oktyabr001 on instagram) if you want to see some of the single OCF "low key" attempts I've made. Best wishes!

Hey love all your vids that ive watched. The only concept thats confusing is Kelvin. Every time ive set my kelvin, in camera or post processing, the higher number the warmer the picture. 5500k warmer tungsten tones and 3200k cooler blue tones but on your graph its the complete opposite.

  • @botvidsson

It should be the other way around, explain more please... in what situation it will be like this?

@@botvidsson When setting the Kelvin on My A7iii when push it to the left 4000 to 3000k the image becomes cooler adds blue. When I Push the Kelvin to the right, 4000 to 5400k it becomes warmer, adds more oranges greens etc. Same in post processing.

Same here. Maybe they market cameras different in US vs EU. I have a canon 5dmkiii and my Kelvin settings work the same as his.
