Happy to hook you up! This will definitely help your grip while dribbling a TON!
Static grip, hand to hand grip, single finger tapping, handle with ball without letting the ball spin. Great tips.
Your videos answers all of my questions, including this one. Very useful. Many thanks, Coach!
Thanks man. Love your channel
I can Palm a ball depending on the grip of the ball , like a brand new ball I can easily Palm it no problem but an older more work out ball I can't Palm for my life
I love this video. Coaches never put any emphasis on learning how to grip the ball. Palming ability or just the ability to maintain a firm grip on the ball helps point guards get where they need to be on the floor off the dribble. The more grip you have the harder it is for the defender to steal the ball. Also you can improve your range of motion on crossovers and your ability to elongate or sale a move. When stopping on a dime with a pull back crossover an already good ball handler can become devastating. The more grip you have on the ball the longer you're able to maintain control or possession of it when really trying to elongate or exaggerate a step with the pull back crossover. Iverson was able to really elongate or exaggerate his fake on his hanging crossover and get his hips involved due to his ability to palm the ball. Firm Gripping creates shifty movements. When the refs banned Iverson's crossover he was still able to break ankles with similar shiftiness because his ability to grip the ball for long periods of time gave him time to really get his hips into the crossover he wanted to do. Jason Williams was the same way, Skip to my Lou, and even Tim Hardaway.
can you make one on how to jump higher

Thanks Snake
How often should I do this?
Yoo I increased my palm time with this I can palm with both now 😂
people say i have surgeons hands, so im wondering if the width of your hand helps more than the length?
Please make a video about how to jump higher
I want to see this guy in a game
I can only do it with putting my hands on the ball but I have to put my wrists down kind of on the ball
I’m like 5’6” and I can palm a ball pretty casually and I like to practice when I’m sitting there watching tv or KZread so it helps to do it idly as well

this is what is holding my handles back. We play on outdoor court which is mostly dusty and after a while my hands get dirty and ball starts spinning at the end of my crossovers in my hand. Cant grip it properly. Will work on this and see if it helps.

Whats the success rate for these exercises?
I can do it with a grippy rubber ball but not with a leather ball. You don't need big hands I got small hands and this works
Does this apply with unfortunate people who have smaller hands?
I really want this for dunking and for while I’m holding it I can hold it away with one hand
Does the size of the ball matter??
I'm 6'4" with hands just over 8.25" and I can only palm cheap rubber or authentic leather basketballs (29.5). It must be a texture thing.
Im 5"7 and i managed to palm the ball in the first day

You have a strong grip
Can you teach me how to play basketball in person pls
I bet I'll be palming really well after doing this a lot because I'm 13 and my hands are only about 7.5 inches and I can palm a basketball without ever doing any grip training drills except I do a lot of pull ups

PlayKingJ to dribble between the legs you just need to bend your knees a bit, put your leg forward and do a crossover almost.

Im at milwaukee
How does it boost the offense
Only legal if you stand still and want to pass it to teammates or if teammates pass ball to you you can palm then attack
What about when you have sweaty hands?
im just here cus i can grab rim and was hoping to grip ball so i only need like 2-3 inch to dunk instead of the standard 6 inch
Sir what's your height?
I want to dunk but I need better grip on ball so here I am
I can do all these drills except the last one.... guess my hands are too small
how tall are you?
that kid zack is my dawg
You can be more than a spot up shooter 😜
what is the soundtrack plz
How big are your hands?

@GetHandles
7 жыл бұрын
+gaganjeet kaur might take some practice to get that down, keep working on it!
I could do this a year ago but for some reason I’m having a lot of trouble now it’s weird
Maybe it's just me with my enormous hands (10.25 inches wide) but I would recommend holding the ball with your fingers and keeping your actual palm just a little off the ball. I know that when I started palming the ball I noticed that it was easier for me to grab the ball off the dribble then to pick it off the ground... it took me a while to realize that the reason for this was that I was naturally grabbing the ball in a better way off the dribble than I was grabbing it off the ground.
