Less paint on the roller and you can go right over it. Might take 2 coats but still faster

Good job, the mortar is recessed, otherwise it would need to be brick by brick with brush. Not sure what paint you used, but we have breathable stains, also photocatalytic with thermal insulation as well.

Quite slow put masking tape where you don't want the paint to go and spray it with a machine, then remove and Viola it's done, looks good, and fast

Always prime separate from your finish coat. They make some pretty good paint+ primers now a days but the finished product will always look best when you use a special wall primer before applying your top coat. what that does is seal any dust that may be on the wall and give your finish color paint a better surface to adhere too. When doing this method, your wall will be more durable and have a longer life. Always sand in between coats.

Seems extremely counterintuitive to take a product which requires zero surface maintenance and put a product on it that could potentially chip flake and need to be redone every 5 to 10 years what an absolute waste of resources and an insult to the natural beauty of masonry products

Exterior paint jobs are extremely common…. Let the person paint their house whatever colour they’d like. It’s brick, not diamond. No need to get be angry.
