You can tint the joint compound then you wouldn't have to paint the white first coat. Looks great.

Only problem is if someone hits it with a hard object like a chair or something, it will Crack and fall off. I suggest using a morter for this or some type of cement mix.

They did use cement.... which is heavy and will fall off... joint compound is best and adding a polycrylic over will prevent it from chipping... this is not new... it's often done wrong but it's not a new technique..been done for years!

Joint compound...on primed wall. Concrete is heavy and will fall off.

Any masking tape... don't use 1 inch...use anything smaller than a one inch

the part where people always mess up with this otherwise convincing look is using 1" masking tape. look at a real brick wall - the mortared joints are more like 1/2" thick.

That's not true at all... it's a choice. Brick spacing can be almost none to over an inch. There is no set spacing amount...any masonry would know that...so you aren't one.

How to remove this brick wall texture back to normal wall?

What? It's wet joint compound...you have to take the tape off while it's wet...it had to dry for 48 hours before paint

What a waste of time! Paint a wall in a few brick shades, than add straight lines to make bricks, hand distort the lines. Job done.

No. That's not at all a better a idea...that will look like a child did it...this is to get the real look of brick... painted bricks looks horrible

This is one of the worst ideas ever, for the amount of time taken you could of bought a brick wall style wall paper.
