How To Paint Exterior Brick House with Only Brush & Roller. Painting A BRICK HOUSE Makeover.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

bit.ly/2MrXMrK -Learn How to Paint a Brick House Exterior with a few cans of Home Depot Masonry BEHR Paint, brushes and rollers. I painted the brick with proper paint to freshen up curb appeal over the weekend. Makeover your outdated orange brick by painting the outside of the house. To speed things up you could rent a spray / paint gun. This is only to get you started, expect about 4 hours of painting per side to do it right without a spray gun. Let me know if you have any questions - enjoy!

I rolled my brick house with a long nap roller, it got into all crevices without brushing and it came out great.

I already know that if you don't use the correct roller sleeve then it will not get into all of the nucks and cranies and that's the only reason I watched the video for advice on the best roller sleeve such as a ragg roller or a really thick pile sleeve but after watching it I think I was none the wiser but 15 minutes behind lol and I also think by adding just a small quantity of water or white spirits if its oil based, just to thin it down for the first coat cuz the bricks are really dry, just an idea, anyway for a person who has never tried to paint exterior walls good video to get them started.

I intend to paint around our main door over the brick veneer. But I want the grooves to remain unpainted - Just paint on the brick portion. What kind of roller would you recommend for that?

A roller with a small nap, 13-15mm would suffice. You'd want a 1" nap if you wanted to fill in the grout lines.

I almost always do it like that on interior walls, but when it comes to exteriors, i prefer to start in the center as you wont have any streaks due to the brick texture in this case. I finished this off after with a paint gun.

@@InvestorTheory go to home depot, get a nice quality roller that is very fluffy. Make sure it says "for concrete and masonry" I legit just did the outside of a house today, no joke. The thin ones have no play. Need a bigger fluff so when pushing harder it can help to fill those tiny holes. it's all about the pressure you apply, and having enough paint on the roller. it's ok to saturate the roller in a heavy amount of paint when doing brick. just not on drywall ect.

First off, you ever roll a roller dry. Keep the roller wet with paint so it rolls good coverage the first time. Then go again and again until you’re finished. Use your brush for cut in’s.
