I love it! So much banter going on in the community nowadays. Next we need a battle report between Kirioth and Dana

Hey, if you run out of hair, are there other body parts that can be used as ink? Fingernails? Toenails? Asking for a friend.

Hey @KiriothTV - How about you two do a Colab? I'd suggest you could do a Kitbash for "Dana Howl's Moving Castle"? I hear those Necron's are getting a pesky floating obelisk...

@@The_Captain40k It's really cool how the KZread Community is intermingling now, like Baldemort and Midminter Minis and Squidmar and Miniac and Major Kill all cross referencing..absolutely love it. The Kirioth Pink hair made me legit lol...I mean the rum and coke had nothing to do with it, but the blatant Kirioth plug was pretty cool.

I used Vallejo Fluorescent Magenta for a long time... but once we found out where you sleep... it's so much cheaper to get it directly from the source.
Now I want to see cyberpunk Skitarii
Liam Wong's photography is such an essential part of so many artist's urban neon light sensibility, it's crazy. He should get much more recognition, makes me happy you included that.
Synthwave necrons being like the Terminator and stalking their victims in neon-drenched alleyways was something I didn't know I need it. Kinda like Snatcher. Maybe Genestealers Cults but robots?
So neon, so chrome!! Absolutely love this paint style for Necrons!

Thanks Allie!!! I had a lot of fun working on these 💫
Necrons are the embodiment of full body cyber prosthetic regret, I love this.
Liam Wong is an incredible photographer and I love how you incorporated inspiration from him into the scheme. It looks so good and it captures the tone you were going for perfectly. I want to see some terrain to match!!!!

Thanks Jayme!!!! I'm a big fan of Liam's photos and in the future I definitely want to do some city terrain to match this scheme!
“Weird future lights”...what I love about this channel
That eye glow effect is some of the best I've ever seen. Also thanks for name-dropping Liam Wong, I'd never heard of them before.

Follow him on Instagram. Absolutely amazing.
Oh no! This is exactly what I was looking for!
For a second there, I forgot that this model is made out of plastic.
Never thought I'd see Transmutate in a 40k video!
I totally had Vangelis playing in my head during this video. This came across as a two source OSL approach, with the contrasting source colors approaching from the front right and rear left.
All you have to do is look behind you for an example of the pink/orange scheme.
The description of your test model process (synth wave fugue) was delightful. I really like the OSL on these.
Was...was that a Beast Wars reference? Well I'm sold.

A M'am of culture
You are a breath of fresh air in the world of warhammer.
Wow this amazing!! I am getting my 14 year old daughter into 40k and we are going to follow your tutorial to paint her first army. Thanks to you we have a very special bounding time together followimg this amazing template. We are both super excited to get started. Thank you!
Thank you for this! I'm just getting into this hobby and this is the same kind of style I'd like to use. This made it seem achievable just to see some technique!
"After a few failed prototypes, I spent an entire night listening to synthwave....." - Say no more, say no more.
I think this scheme has a real 80s vibe to it that really makes these models even more like terminators. I'm definitely going to use some of the concepts here on my Genestealer Cults army. Awesome job Dana!
This came at just the right time, I needed a good cyberpunk kick in the butt.
Wow, you're incredible at capturing mood and ambience in your models. These and your night haunts...holy moly
Holy moly, I love your artistic style and creativity.
I clicked telling myself "one more boring youtube painter, let's skip to the final result", but I got hooked when you actually explained your creation process, references and attempts. I'm interested in seeing more of this kind of content, despite the random horse pics
Beautiful. Absolutely stunning!
The fact that you managed to include both a beast wars and a bionicle reference in less than a minute makes me regret not subscribing to you the first time I saw your videos.
Dana, I want to thank you. I haven't painted a miniature in 25 years. And your videos have the answers I was looking for. Thank you so much!
finally someone who takes the time to correctly pronounce vallejo. an overall brilliant video, thanks!
Awesome! I'm currently in a very snythwave mood myself, so this definitely struck a cord. That yellow wash into the pinks really elevates the effect. Looks brilliant!
Awesome concept for the color scheme and it turned out really well.
I've seen a lot of interesting colors on these models but your way to paint is one of the best I’ve seen so far
That orange and pink combo is really cool, thanks for sharing that idea
I love the style, it clearly works for necrons and its a really "out of the box" style to the mini, well done👍
Thank you, Our Lady of Winged Eyeliner
This is way cooler than the origianl green glow. Like way. This should be the look of the necrons.

Thank you 💫
Picking up my Necrons soon and wanted to do a dark metal/neon pink scheme. This is incredible.
I literally just got the last of my paints in to attempt a Vaporwave necron yesterday, now I need to go add that ink to my list as it'll be way easier than the OSL method I was planning. Thanks for the video!
Love your style. Nice to see someone really step away from the norm and execute it so well.
Looks like my 1979 nickel plated, blue chromed, yellow metallic, diamond mirrored on flat BMX stickered, Mongoose Motomag bike....Lovely stuff, Dana.
Subbed because of this video. I've been having a hard time transitioning from fantasy painting to Sci-Fi and this was a big help.
This is really great, I picked up the Indomitus box because a friend and I were talking about making some Synthwave/Cyberpunk necrons and this provides some great ideas on doing the neon lights in the gauss rifles.
Dana, thank you so much for the help! I've had the idea of synthwave Necrons in my head for a while but didn't know how to execute it but this video totally made it happen ;D I managed to speedpaint most of the Indomitus stuff over the weekend and never though it would be possible for me to do (especially as a new dad)! Thanks again :D
These are probably the first Necrons I've seen that I really dig. So much saturated awesomeness!!
Your deadpan gives me life
Bloody refreshing. Great video and again, very refreshing! Thanks!
This was very different and I loved the reference pictures. There is something very interesting about neon in the reflections of rain. Those Necron models looked great.
You're getting the upvote for Bionicle alone! That was my jam when I was a kind and any reference to that gets an instant like! Also, your paint schemes are da bomb!
First cyberpunk necrons I’ve seen. Super cool!
This is stunning!!
Very cool, I love the glow leaking onto the bases. So well done.
Wow! This necron do is awesome! If I ever start collecting them, I am definitely doing something like this.
Look really good to me, really adds more life into the models imo; and isn't the common thing that you see or you'll spect to see. I like it.
Great scheme and tutorial! Really awesome stuff
Wow! They are magnificent! Thanks for this tutorial 🙏
That is a killer cyberpunk paint scheme! Thanks for sharing this!
I love the super bright color schemes you have, they are so non boring.
THOSE ARE FREAKING BRILLIANT!!!
Fantastic color scheme and video production! Love your channel, please never stop
First video I’ve seen and I’m super impressed! Love the idea of using multiple color shifters on these models! I’m going to have to try that out! Thanks for sharing!
Very striking and original scheme - like it!
This is amazing. I love the theme you were going for and the execution is amazing. If only I could paint like that.

I believe in u! You can do it
Thanks for keeping in your creative thought process I found it valuable.
Nice job exploring color schemes on an actual video, showing trials and such. Takes courage, but it informed me quite a bit. As I got started a year ago, I was all about brush techniques and all, but you made me realise how a toughtful and original color scheme can set my minis appart.
Synthwave, Vapewave, lofi is all I listen to well painting. Fantastic see that you have used it to help determine your scheme perfect
You totally nailed it! the glow looks great in the final scheme
I wanted to thank you Dana. This last couple of weeks I have taken a break from painting up my "Indomitus" box to try and get some of my " Kingdom Death monster" ..er um monsters finished before my KDM group meets to play again. Things have gone really well but the Dung beatle knight had ben defeating me at every turn. I just couldn't get the iridescent beetle shell look that I wanted. I was vaguely aware that color shifting paint existed,I had researched it a bit, but really didn't know ware/how to start. After watching this video, I ordered the " Galaxy Dust" "The shifters" set from vallejo. using my airbrush, and glazing techniques I learned from you , I had a result I was ecstatic with withen a couple hours. So happy with it I'm giddy. Thank you so much for being you, and sharing what you do!
I can’t get over how gorgeous this paint scheme looks.
Love that metallic and glows!
Love the mixing of shifting colors paint, I have many brands but have never mixed applied them. Thanks. Best color scheme I have seen for necrons to date, love the move from gw born color scheme.
WoW, really good looking. Love them!
This looks absolutely amazing!!!! Wow!!
I gotta try to paint something like this. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks for sharing this! Indomitus will be my first collection of Necrons and this scheme seems to best to me so far. Meaning to try painting with inks as well. Looking forward to my results.
So good! You are a neon queen! Love your delivery, thank you!
I hope to see you paint some of the bigger necrons with this scheme too 😲😍 ITS SO GOOD
I’ve been toying with trying an idea like this for ages and you freaking nailed it. I think I may have to give this a try. Also, the perfect accompaniment to this paint job would be Perturbator’s ‘Humans are such easy prey’ for what that is worth
Incredible! Thanks for this!
amazing colour scheme dana, think i might try this with my necrons
Looks great I really enjoy your personal touch. I think you nailed the neon effect.
Brillant paintjob,congratulations !
Awesome work! This definitely inspires me to try something a little different with my necrons in the future.
Great solutions Dana!
Love this! my favorite video so far.
Very cool scheme! Love it
This is just what I needed for my Destroyers (the SM Chapter, not the Necron unit) and my Purge.
These minis looks so cool! I love your colour schemes 😍
Great work! Really nice to see your colour theory here :)
Looks awesome 👍
I'm beyond thrilled you're doing necrons. Would love to see the full see from the box
Love the choice of music in your videos.
Dana, I just discovered your videos, I love your use of color and your overall style, thanks!
They look really good
So good!
Thank you for this, Dana. I just bought a couple of Necrons just to paint them like this.
Good video and such a change to the norm. Im going to pass this on to a friend who is looking for a colour scheme, I think he could really take some inspiration from this.
Beautiful work.
That Necron army will look slick! Awesome tutorial!
Absolutely beautiful paint scheme. Lovely work. Necrons were my first minis 🤙🏼
The end its really amazing.. nice discovery
