So i have been playing 40K since 1993 and I don’t get what’s the big deal games workshop changes lore all the time. The Eldar I played are different from the modern ones and the only problem I see is a lack of art and models

Same here, my journey began in the late 90s when i found a box of space marines in a model train shop my dad visited all the time. People need to get over themselves it's all fiction at the end of the day.

I now love you, you are a star. I do feel a bit disappointed that the 'males' are always so scantily clad. Just because I wear shorts and a polo shirt in summer doesn't mean I'd go into battle in hot pants and a crop top. I realise that there are a lot of incelettes in the scene and that they feel threatened by even the word men but surely there is room for us too, they might even meet a boy like me who 's looking for a lady to take me under their wing and womansplain how it all works. We're not all malenists trying to bring down the Matriarchy. I just want to feel included.

Loved the bit xD On a serious note, the Custodes getting females doesn't bother me, what bothers me is they have all female ranges that could do with some lovin, and they chose the easy way out instead of expanding some amazing armies. (They could do both and I wouldn't have cared, but the laziness has me annoyed)

How else would the Custodes exist for ten thousand years when there were originally only ten thousand and 90% died in the Horus Heresy? These folks retire and become Eyes of the Emperor, no way they'd retire if there would be no new ones. Plus, Custodes are psykers, Sisters of Silence are blanks, very different roles that some people put in a false dichotomy. Nice vid :)

lol love the humor and painting vid. All jokes aside, at the end of the day GW is gonna do what it wants whether we like it or not, which usually people dont like given their track record haha. At this point theres no way they care about someone staying in the hobby when their profits have netted record numbers year after year. I got over the custodes thing after week, much like most people do when GW springs some controversy of the month, gotta be intentional at point lol. Also on a more hopeful note, with this retcon, I hope next edition they just go ahead and refresh Custodes. Kinda have to honestly, would be weird to just see a random sprue of female heads fall out of every Custodes box lol

As Rob, the Honest Wargamer, can often be heard saying: It's tough to be a man in this hobby. Absolutely love the video! There's no argument against female custodes that doesn't boil down to "The possibility of powerful women with agency being present in my power fantasy makes me feel weird and weak, and clearly I can't be the problem because I'm mommy's special boy, therefore this change is bad."
