In this video, I'll show you how to paint Abaddon the Despoiler for your Chaos army! This is a great sculpt, and a model that looks great when painted well - this guide is pretty straight forward and you should have him on the table and launching Black Crusades in no time!!

    Thanks - the sword can do with a lot more work to refine - I'm not 100% on the colour - I've seen Ben Komets do a liquid/flaming metal style that's really cool!

    Where you go over with abaddon black, do you use the contrast or the base version? I am terrified of starting this model!

    I use the base paint in this instance - no need to be terrified - take your time and enjoy it - you can always paint over it if need be :)

    i know you've painted several power swords on figures but they all varry. On mephiston you used Aethermatic blue contrast on this guy you used temple guard blue and Terradon turquoise. they're all very nice, but what would you recommend for a nice easy simple recipe for power swords. A short video or just a power sword video would be awesome 😁

    Cool thanks. I’ve painted him before but I made the mistake of doing him as my first mini after getting back in the hobby. It’s not terrible but I believe I can do a lot better now

    at 41:08 you use Terradon Turquoise contrast on the blade. Would i get the same effect if i used Sotek Green since i already have that. And awesome work on the power sword. The simplest method i've ever seen and it looks just as good as the ones if not better that people spend hours on glazing, feathering, and whatever technical paint terminology there is on it.

    @@ThePaintingCoach with lahmian medium 50:50? also i use the black templar contrast to panel line my space marines, do you think wyldwood would be well suited to outlining 1:35 scale WWII figures since most of the uniforms are a shade of brown, tan or green?
