We just had our race, and it was a bit of a bummer of a car. I thought of hydrodipping on the way home, so if our engineering isn’t better for next year we will at least drop jaws for style! The car turned out great, and we will use this method next time.

This was my son's last year so he dipped it again. The other years he just painted it. He got top speed overall in the last race he ran. The big difference was the graphite. He was underweigh so added a ton of graphic to get to 5.0 onces. It worked.

" works with his son " stand back kid, daddy is working. cool car dad, can I make one next year?

Good questions. No it was not smooth- however it can be lightly sanded and a smooth clear coat could be added to improve air resistance. We were not going for speed with this design. My son is only 8 and was trying to create a mine-craft color theme. If you use less paint and all of the same brand- you would have better results if you wanted it to be smooth.

What's the best way to dispose of the remaining paint and water?

Nice results! How do you dispose of the leftover water with paint?

I believe the water dried up and we tossed the bucket. I would not pour it down the drain since the solvents and paint is not good for the pipes.
