Youll learn that as you get farther in your business you will need a little pressure on some stuff, using just the 12v and mixer valve isnt a do it all system. We used it for everything when i first started and now we only use it for roofs. For example some lichen and thick algae we use a white tip jrod tip on brick that will not come off with just sh only. Removing dirtdaubers with an 8gpm shooter tip is a life saver and quick. We only downstream now with the 8gpm.

So I was doing some math and looked up washing detergent at the store 2 gallons of liquid detergent is roughly 10 dollars so for a 25 gallon container is 125 dollars so do you dilute the soap by adding it to water first or do you use straight soap and use what percentage you like also how many gallon tank is your soap and SH just trying to lean man it’s kind of confusing but you explain things very well

New sub here and just starting my business. Can you explain how you would use two pumps and manifolds? Two guns at the same time? Do they have a single system for a solo operation?

They are 2 separate systems powered by 2 separate batteries. They are plumbed into the same tanks

I don't have a blend manifold. I down stream 95% of the time. Roof cleaning in my area is basically non existent, people are just either non educated or just don't care about their roofs. I batch mix for anything I need a stronger mix. I am concidering building a manifold this year. With the hilly terrane in Pittsburgh area and the huge steep roofs it is very difficult to do roofs around me. I only mention roofs to people when they are walkable or easily accessible by ladder. But with that said your math class was excellent. Everyone should have understood that. 🤓👍

You can only downstream with a pressure washer to at most a 10:1 mix. If you want to put a hotter mix with your pressure washer. I would say that you need to buy a X-Jet set up. Then you can mix and spray what ever solution you want.

Have you ever double checked your metering? Based on the size of your lines it can pull from the path of least resistance if the diameter of your hose valves exceed the size of the outgoing line leaving the manifold. For example.. if you have a 1/2" line going from the manifold to the pump and you have 3x 1/2“ lines going to your water, sh and soap then ideally you will get a more accurate mix if you balance your valves to a total of "180" (assuming your valve is metered/marked 0 to 180) since one valve completely open is the equivalent to having one of your 1/2" lines completely open. Therefore we find having the valves balanced gives us a more accurate mix. Assuming all lines are the same size for simpler math.. having your valve open to 180 would be 100%. If you wanted 50% sh and 50% water you'd have the 2 valves turned to 90 each which would be the equivalent of both of your 1/2“ lines opened up half way to equal the size of the line going to your pump from your manifold. If you wanted one percent surfactant you'd put your surfactant line to 1.8 (1% of 180) but we'll round up to 2 for simplicity. 180 minus 2 would be 178 which is your total line still available. 89 on the water and 89 on the sh would be a 49.5%/49.5% bleach mix with 1% soap. Little more confusing but more accurate overall. Personally i wish they labeled the meters 1 to 100 with halfs marked out to make the percentages a little easier to figure out. Also having different size lines will throw your actual proportions off too because a quarter inch line next to 2 half inch lines, you have to account for the quarter inch line not measuring up to the same size as the other lines when it's fully open. So while it can be an exact science, it can be a little bit of a learning curve to hone in on balancing your system to that exact science. Otherwise you may be pulling more sh than you think you're pulling because your sh valve is the closest to your outlet

I had this same question. Though i pictured trying to drink a shake while also drinking tea both through straws. You'd likely never get any shake because like you said " path of least resistance."
