How to Mop a Floor PROPERLY | How to Use a Microfiber Flat Mop Like a Pro

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you want to learn how to mop a floor properly and how to get the cleanest floors, you need to watch this video right now! You've been cleaning your floor wrong and you've probably been doing it for years. I'm going to teach you how to use a microfiber flat mop properly so you can mop your floor and leave it streak and smear free, without it being sticky either. There is nothing worse than a floor being left sticky after mopping so this video will teach you how to mop a floor fast, and without leaving residues that cause stickiness afterward. We see this ALL the time in our cleaning business and it doesn't matter if you have wood floor, marble, porcelain tile, vinyl or safety flooring. If you've been using an old fashioned rag mop and detergents, you're mopping your floor the wrong way. But that's ok! In this video I teach you how to clean and maintain ANY type of floor. The floor I'm teaching you how to clean is amtico but the process works on any type of floor. This tutorial will teach you how to use a microfiber flat mop like a pro, get your floor cleaner than you thought possible, and save you money in the process using a microfiber flat mop the right way.
My name is Carl and I'm a cleaning specialist from Ireland. This video will teach you how to mop a floor without streaks - Dont believe me? Come find out for yourself. In my opinion as a cleaning specialist this is the best way to mop floors using microfiber flat mop systems.
How to mop a floor fast:
The best way to mop floors is with a microfiber flat mop system like I'm using here, the microfiber mop removes the residues from the floor quickly and easily and then you simply throw the pads in the washing machine after you use them meaning there are no sticky residues and no streaks left on your floor.
how to use a microfiber flat mop:
To use a microfiber flat mop properly follow the steps in the tutorial. Depending on the size of the area you want to flat mop you're going to need on average about 10 heads so you don't run out. Depending on how dirty the floor is you should use one flat mop head about every 10 square foot, less if the floor is pretty clean.
If you want to learn how to get the cleanest floors ever, then this video is for you!

This was invaluable. I just mopped the floor and I have exactly that problem described here, the floor looks hazy and dirty and I know I'm not looking at my floor finish. Will take this advice and try it tomorrow. I've always been using conditioner in the washing machine on my microfiber clothes. Will stop that immediately.

Great video! How do you disinfect the floor if you are only using water? I watched another video where they made a solution of a small amount of vinegar, dish soap, rubbing alcohol and water. I feel like this would disinfect the floors better than plain water. Any thoughts on this?

That's a very good technique you're sharing, especially using a spray bottle rather than a spray tank mop which are made cheap in most cases, but when you got 10,000 sq ft of Halliburton floor that looks like they threw buckets of dirt and mud in the hallways everytime we show up, that's another story lol...........

Nice. What you do with the commercial extractor machine I do with a 10% alcohol solution on my microfiber mop pad. I think the little bit of alcohol helps two ways: It helps dissolve greasy smog stuck to the floor, and it allows the tiles to dry much faster than plain water, so there is less risk of slipping and falling. I change to a fresh mop pad several times along the way, as needed. I actually pour the solution onto the top of the pad, then apply the handle, so the solution spreads to the bottom, floor side, as needed. When it gets too dry or too dirty, time to switch pads. If I've been really good at keeping the floor clean, though, I pour a puddle, instead, mop over it to soak that into the mop, and then continue. Regardless, the 10% alcohol in the water does seem to boost effects.

Sure, so get a big expensive commercial machine and use it. Then get a microfiber mop and spend perhaps hundreds to over a thousand dollars on mop heads that you can replace every few feet. Also just use water and don't ever disinfect your floors apparently.
