Sort of, any packs that came out after v1.28 won’t be playable until your return back to live. But when you do return; they’ll be there to be redownloaded and not rebought.

I managed to figure it out, I somehow had downloaded a patcher that was 1.29. thank you for your assistance with these well layed out videos

Hey man i get to about 8:32 in the timecode and when i go do start uninstall. it says something about restoring from a backup and then pops up QUV can currently nor manage mods for Quest 3 and not anything like do you want to uninstall this app. But i think it succesffully downgraded to 1.28 dont know what to do from there. it shows the versions 1.28 and a mode this version

QAVS is just to download and downgrade to v1.28, you use quest patched to finishing modding.

@@BearskiVR Yes, i actually got it modded, between Mod Assistant and and questpatcher but it only took one day and not it dont work at all right now. I load it and sometimes it just goes to a black screen forever and dont load or it will load, and crash a few times between asking to restore and i cancel. And then when i finally do get it to play i try a level and its weird sometimes Im looking out the side towards where i would be standing and playing and when i try to use the sabers they are almost as big as the whole screen and i cant even see around them to play. I might have just put too many mods or just the wrong mods. I now cant unmod or take off some mods because i cant evne play it now. It seems to happen almost right after i modded it. I will go unisntall and re try all of it again, 1 mod at a time this time.

Brother bearski it still turns black and it’s definitely on 2.8 version what do I do?

You clicked “browse” in quest patcher and selected the 1.28 mods you downloaded? Really sounds like the correct core mods didn’t install.

This is so complicated now. The Quest 2 has absolutely ruined itself by making modding so unnecessarily difficult. I went through probably 10 different tutorials before finding this one and did a million different steps out of order / from outdated videos which is almost 99% of the tutorials for modding online! Now BMBF is completely broken too without having to keep my entire Quest un-updated. Totally ridiculous.

@@mayodoesstuff2205 yes, Scotland 2 is for v1.35. I haven’t seen anything that indicates it was updated for 1.37. If you used qavs to downgrade to v1.28 then you need to use questloader. Have a good one!

Reinsert the cable or try a new cable. 9/10 times that’s the culprit. Have comments in this and other videos that confirm it.

@@blacksocrates1530 the question is, how many mods did you install? I’m pretty stable with qosmetics whackers, trick saber, noodles, mapping. I tend to avoid chroma. Find it causes crashes as much as qosmetics for something reason.

Reinstall and try again. Chances are it’s the wrong beat saber version or the wrong version of mods that were installed or Scotland 2 was used instead of questloader

my download always gets stuck on "download is starting it will take 30 seconds and that its requesting and awaiting response from obbs" and i dont get the grant access pop ups like you do on 8:08 .

Could be a number of reasons, Did you change the channel to v1.29 and reinstall beat saber? Did you downgrade to 1.28 with qavs? Did you patch the downgraded version of beat saber with questpatcher's questloader modloader? Did you install v1.28 mods? 9 out of 10 times its one of those steps that were missed.

when i run questpatcher as admin, it says "Windows cannot acces the specified device path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" When i try to delete it it wont even let me delete it??

Typically means it was moved. Try restarting the computer. It’ll be gone

No worries, Unplug and plug in your headset to your computer and go to notification in quick settings. The adb prompt will be there. Click that and then you can allow.

Did you restore the game twice? Did you change the channel version to 1.29 and reinstall then downgrade to 1.28 with qavs? Did you patch beat saber with questpatcher's mod loader called "quest loader"? Did you install v1.28 mods? Have your tried restarting your headset? If beatsaber is on v1.28, you could try quick fix and patch my game in questpatcher's tool menu. Let me know how it goes!

my beat saber app doesnt open, it stays on the loading screen and i cant use my controllers, all i can do is restart and power off my headset using the power button on the side of the actual headset

Chances are you didn’t change the version channel to 1.29. Didn’t downgrade to 1.28 with qavs Didn’t patch beatsaber with questpatcher’s modloader called questloader Didn’t install version 1.28 core mods Installed too many mods. 100%, one of the above things didn’t happen which is crashing your game. You could reinstall beat saber twice and try again but that’s up to you.

The game should download followed by asking if you want to reinstall beat saber. You could try reinstalling QAVS and see how what it says when you open it.

I’ll whip up a video showing how to do this, tonight. But for you, with exclusively bmbf and not quest patcher. You should be be able to uninstall beat saber on the App Library and then just reinstall it. It should then be live and ready to update when ost7 is out.

Very interesting prompt, the dev of questpatcher must have determined that the replay mod is much more stable on v1.35 and Scotland2. You would need to remod the game with scotland2 so the replay mod doesn’t cause crashes/stability issues.

Did you use scotland2 to mod or questloader? Noodles not being able to installed sounds like you used scotland2. Noodles doesn’t have a working mod for v1.35. And for info: Scotland2 and questloader are mod loader used by questpatcher.

Not exactly. The songs you are downloading are created by community members, not beat saber. The maps are likely completely different than the music packs from the live game.

Hello i seem to be having an issue around 12:15 at the verification step, i have backtracked the organization step now and it isnt giving me the login prompt. Im not sure how to get the developer settings to open and give me the debug mode option on the meta app

Try a different port or cable. Did you flip the cable heads? Does your headset recognize your pc when plugged in?

its not working everything is set up but when i try and get in beat sabor it tells me to open app,restore, or close but if i click close the game just crashes

You’d want to click open. But it sounds like you installed the wrong core mods, didn’t downgrade to v1.28 or didn’t patch with questloader. Reinstall everything and give it another go.

My quest 2 might be broken but i get a message saying that the last usb device i commected malfunctioned or something and can’t do anything, the notification doesn’t even appear

Try using a pc to turn your meta account into a dev account. The website through the app can be finicky.

@@góilín1 no, you probably made a mistake earlier. Did you reinstall beatsaber after changing the channel to v1.29? Did you downgrade with qavs? Did you quick patch with questpatcher? Did you use questloader and not scotland2? Did you install v1.28 core mods? How many other mods did you install? High chance you missed one of those. Beat to reinstall everything and try again.

There been updates to Questpatcher since this video was released. But it should be the top level version when you download and install it.

i did everything but when i load the game theres still no mods installed, and its verseion 1.28 too so i dont know what to do

Why is it saying QAVS currently not mange mods for quest 3 Help plzzzz

That’s normal, you are using QAVS to only downgrade.

If I have a brand new Quest 2 and just purchasing Beat Saber for the first time through the Quest Store, would this Tutorial work for me? I've seen sources that says the current version doesn't allow downgrading.

Curious, I haven’t seen any reports regarding downgrading not being available. Where were the “sources”? I also have had any comments that brought up this issue.

@BearskiVR they were from comments I've seen posted on another YT channel and on Discord. Although, I'm not entirely sure if the comments on Discord were for the PC mods. I'm still confused with Quest and PC mods and which one to go with. I just wanted to make sure I've done my research and feel confident enough before buying it/trying it. I don't want to mess it up.🥲

I followed every step and it works but my walls are invisible ingame so i cant see anything in noodle extension maps. Any advice on how to fix walls not working

Did you install qosmetic boxes? Never seen walls be affected like that. Is it all songs?

@@BearskiVR I dont have any of the qosmetics installed. The walls in vanilla songs work fine but in the modded maps the walls are just faint boxes with no outline. Ive tried reinstalling the mods 6 times now.

Best thing to do would be to start from the beginning. Restore beat saber back to live. And if you try to mod again, follow each step exactly. Chances are you didn’t change the legacy version to v1.29, didn’t downgrade to v1.28, didn’t use questloader instead of questpatcher, or didn’t use v1.28 mods. The method will work, but it’s a house of cards set up. Need to do everything correctly from the get go.

Log in to beatleader on a phone or pc and reset the password.

Did you change the channel version to v1.29 and reinstall? Did you downgrade to 1.28 with qavs? Did you patch the game with questpatcher? Did you use questloader instead of scotland2? Did you install v1.28 core mods?(chances are this is where you made a mistake) What other mods did you install?

Unfortunately this won’t happen until Meta releases their propriety Meta Horizon OS. Google just isn’t budging. Another avenue would be to have Beat saber releasing a modable version as well but the assumption is that they wouldn’t want to risk opening up easily downloadable custom songs. I think a disclaimer would be all that’s needed but🤷

how exactly does the discordpresence work? i installed it in the mods but nothing pops up in discord

Restart computer, try a different port when connecting your headset.

if you just add in the noodle extensions mod ,will it just work with no setup

Did you install the 1.28 mods? Did questpatcher say you were on 1.28?

Thanks for the tutorial but beat saber keeps crashing after I mod it. Tha process works perfectly but beat saber just closes over and over whenever I try to open it after it’s modded

What mods did you install?

So everything worked great but when i start it, it kickes me out with the "Platform abuse policy" no matter how many times i open app, same thing. Occulus 3. Anyway to bypass that?

@@BearskiVR I actually figured it out. Did something dumb. Downloaded the 1.37 core mod instead of the 1.28. lol it works perfect now. Great video!!

I can’t do it bc I had mods before and I have a lot of songs but I got rid of them bc I wanted to try ost 6 and 7 but when ever I try to get mods back it keeps crashing no matter what I do:(

Reinstall back to live twice. Then go through the guide. Make sure you use the latest version of questpatcher(use questloader and not scotland2), v1.28 mods. Start with just the core mods then add others one at a time.

At 3:39 under download for some reason there is no folders there for me. What does this mean?

Are you going through scoped storage or the initial mobile vr station download folder? Need to make sure to go to scoped storage local>all folders>data>android>scoped storage actions>step 1 request access

@@BearskiVR yeah I did that it’s just that there are no files under downloads for some reason. I have all my other things like mod data. Im still on 1.28 and I’m doing this because I want to get replay mod and I can’t install mods anymore. I also have qavs already installed is that a problem?

@@Vorprid Try restarting your headset. Perhaps try and and redownload the sidequest apk. Definitely out of ordinary behaviour.

Yes, bmbf no longer works. need to use questpatcher with pc or mods by friday with an android phone.
