    Increase your self-control: . You need to prepare for the future. And build yourself subconsciously. Our behavior depends a lot on our muscle memory. You need to think effectively. Think feelingly. Feelingly think you're doing what you're doing or what you will do. Real-life experience makes visualization easy. Practice both physically and mentally. To control the present focus on the present. To prepare for the future focus on the far future.Have a balance between focusing on the present and the future. Visualize repeatedly without distraction. Thoughts don't manifest if you don't think feelingly. Visualization is a tool to control feelings. Our action is nothing but the outcome of our feelings. Don't be emotionless while trying to be stoic. Controlling feelings is the key to success. Complacency causes low self-control. It stops you from preparing for the future. Today's preparation makes tomorrow easy. Thoughts = Feelings. Feelings = Actions. Actions = Results.

    @@Ihaveapetbunny How Christian Bale controls himself? For preparation he thinks before doing. For acting he lives in the present moment. Now the question is how he prepares himself. He said, “before i do the scene i like to think what i have been through, and i put myself in the character shoe, so i become the character.” you have to feel that youre actually doing it. Also when you are actually doing it you need to feel you are actually doing it. “When youre doing it you can think of nothing else but what youre doing.” - Christian Bale. Feelings = Action. The effective way to control yourself is by putting yourself into the character shoe.

    In the current market volatility, relying solely on a competent financial advisor becomes crucial. I have personally been consulting with an advisor for a considerable period, primarily due to my lack of expertise and endurance in navigating these recurring market conditions. Surprisingly, during this downturn, I managed to generate over $300,000 in returns, which highlighted the intricacies of the market that elude most individuals. Thus, having an investment consultant, particularly for those approaching retirement, is the most prudent course of action.

    @postnoim

    If it's really hard, start really small. For example, if you want to workout more, try to do 20 pushups once every two days. And everytime you think about quitting just do it one more day! Be aware of how you feel after you did accomplish your goal for the day and remind yourself of that feeling when you want to quit. Hope this helps, maybe not but in general: try to build your discipline. Listen to that voice inside your head that knows what's best for you and silence the voice that is giving you these hard times trying to apply your new habits. Two quotes I find interesting that might help: If it was easy, everyone would do it. Remember that next time you want to quit. You may not be where you want to be yet in life, but you're also not where you used to be. Now put your head down and get back to killing it!

    Going cold turkey helps. No media until the urge is completely gone. That's the first step. Second one is slowly starting it in moderation (e.g. setting a time limit or a videos per day limit). During cold turkey, you should work on the reasons, you are consuming so much (like avoiding tasks, lack of alternative hobbies, loneliness)
