You don't have to eq so much on your melody, just use a little bit of sidechain compression helps a lot too :) I also have trouble to find a good faderposition for my hihats, because if you compare the loudness on your headphones with your studiomonitors they are always way to loud :)) Love your Videos :))

The -3db depend on the transient of your sound (clap) not the real loudness (lufs).

Have a beatstars and upload each beat to KZread too, dm artists every day on Instagram and slowly you will get sales. It took me 8 months of consistently posting beats and dm’ing artists to make $1000 so just keep going

So I’ve been making beats for a few years, I’ve been networking and trying my best to sell my beats and get placements with artists, I haven’t gotten any placements yet, I only post my beats on my Instagram story, I’ve been thinking about starting up a KZread channel and making videos on how I made my beats, hopefully to better market and promote myself, thinking about just recording myself with my phone and my laptop screen with a screen recording software, who would watch if I started deconstructing my beats?

Soft Clipper and good leveling is why it’s treated like a limiter on the master to my understanding 💯

so you don't put anything on the master besides the soft clipper and everything sounds the same (as far as quality) when you export for playback across the board on studio speakers, headphones, car, and heaphones? That's been my biggest problem. things don't sound the same when exporting. My EXPORT settings (Fl studio) : Wav bit depth: 32 bit stereo resampling Quality: 512 Point sync....

If everything is quiet then use a limiter on the master to bring back up the volume
