Watchdogs 2 features some really awesome gadgets and weapons. One that caught my eye is called "The THUNDERBALL" basically a heavy solid sphere on the end of a rope. The main character uses this as a self defense weapon as well as for grappling.
Next I will try to make a 3D Printed Taser!

    You should think about making and selling a small batch of those as kits. Already machined ball, some paracord and the metal parts. Some fans that don't have access advanced tools would probably like to buy it, or you could give such kits to supporters.

    In some states the thunderball is illegal to carry apparently so selling kits would not be such a great idea. I researched a few legal documents provided online about the legality of such weapons and it depends on what state you live in.

  • @Celric_Death

    @Celric_Death

    4 жыл бұрын

    That One Bear it's illegal to carry in most countries and some states, but actually using it against a person is illegal in most states as far as I've looked into it. I don't even think it would fall under "self defence" in most places and would be very difficult to convince a jury/judge that it was self defence. If your life was in immediate danger you "might" be able to claim self defence, but in any other situation this is complete overkill. Loved making it and I love having it as a fan, but you'd need to get some practice to use it without severely injuring yourself but you'd also need to be completely ready and willing to kill whatever you're going to hit with it. At the very least you'd be putting them in a coma or causing severe brain damage.

    This isn't really "how to make" as much as it is "watch this person with heavy machinery make this". It would be nicer if it were a tutorial, or a DIY project, rather than something where the prices of the pieces to make it are somewhat cheap, compared to the thousands of dollars needed for the means to actually make it, but if you could make a better, more detailed, and easier TUTORIAL on how to make this, that would be absolutely fantastic. I hope you like that 100℅ constructive criticism, because I meant nothing of negativity, and am only telling you, as a viewer, how this video could've been better. Also, I really hope you do make an easier to do version of this video, that would be awesome. Have a fantastic day!

But nevertheless, I'm still probably gonna try to make it!

    You don't want to cut golf balls. It's messy as hell. Open one up and you will find out. Concrete will crack especially if the inside is made from a material that can flex such as a yoyo. Pool balls are the best option unless you happen to have an extremely large steel ball bearing from a large scale industrial machine.

  • @nickrider815

    But that defeats the idea of this prop. You wouldn't see the 8 ball. The paracord covers the whole thing and reduces the kinetic energy from the impact. You may as well just use a sock and not bother wasting any time tying knots.

    You could make the ball end out of epoxy resin with the eyebolt and nut already in it. Save the milling and drilling bits. Plus then you could put whatever you wanted in it. Seems like that is what the balls are made out of anyway from the way the chips were flying off.

  • @wildbilldonovan110

    one improvement i would suggest is the addition of some sort of ball or tapered wooden plug sort of like a wine cork only with a steeper taper. roughly 3/4 top to 1 3/8 in diameter at the base and two inches long. this will allow you much more control over the weapon. i make mine with cast lead. i cast the lead inside a brass or steal pipe for added durability the lead is poured around the fittings permanently fusing all of the components together. i can put more weight in a smaller area then i ever could with an 8 ball. mine are also much easier to hide due to the smaller size of the weight.
